Cool My First In Depth Tri-Colore Service

Finally reached that day when it was time to drop that first engine oil and make a few tweaks to the most fantastic Ducati I have owned yet. My entire Saturday was spent at the initial purchase location of Redline Performance Motorsports in Yorktown, VA where I am thankfully permitted to come and go from the service bay and showroom. There also was another site member there who was actually turning wrenches on many bikes. Great meeting up with ya Joe! Thanks for helping out!

There is nothing better than standing alongside a Ducati Master Tech as the entire bike is taken apart for a total service inspection and to put on a myriad of accessories and parts. Damn did I learn alot yesterday! Do you all know what your oil filter looks like and where it is located?-lol I also had the tech conduct some suspension adjustments based on his knowledge and feedback which seem to feel great thus far.

Oh- for those of you who never read my posts before, I am the one who advocates a VERY HARD break in on these new bikes! Using EVERY feature that comes on it to it's full extent, and NOT babying a damn thing on this superbike! Well, thats the way I have always been told to do it, always done it, and always came out with a stronger bike in the end. We checked EVERYTHING on bike during the service, including all electronic data thru the tail DDA plug. My bike was very, very happy!

I am going to post a bunch of photos here but not sure how many times I will have to post due to file size. Here is what I have into the bike right now:

- Biggest addition yesterday was a set of infamous BST Carbon Fiber wheels!
- Comfort seat (DP) **serious must have everyone!!
- Carbon fiber rear hugger (DP)
- Carbon fiber stator cover (DP)
- Carbon fiber clutch cover (DP)
- Carbon fiber rear shock cover (DP)
- Carbon fiber DP fender eliminator kit with smaller LED rear turn signals
* Used a set of "front" turn signals off Multistrada, same as Euro rear signals
- DP extended windscreen with low tint
- CRG Anodized shorty levers
- The tiny carbon Ducati emblems on tank, tail section, and windscreen were purchased off Ebay as a kit with several of each size included.

Why did I take the time for nice photos with the damn passenger pegs on!! -lol
It's a wife thing folks. Had to promise a few rides to be able to land this bike from day one!

Thanks for sharing and the pictures, shes a beauty...very tastefully done on the accessories, loving the wheels man...regarding the passenger pegs, we all got to do what it takes, lol...

Nice! Be sure to post some impressions on the BST's when you've had a chance to try them. But you do realize of course, that until you put some Braketech CMC's on that front wheel it's just going to look wrong now...

Thank you everyone, truly appreciate the compliments. Can you believe I am already trying to figure out what I can do next? LMAO. Taking suggestions. NOT paying the $ for a stainless full system header though, titanium maybe but who will make one first!

You guys don't know the half, this thing is freaking bad a$$ in person. I seen it yesterday up close and personal at REDLINE in York town VA.

The wheels are sick, the rear wheel lip has a lot of depth to it, the little details really sets everything off My hats off to ya, you gave me the real deal info on the bike, and made my choice to purchase easier.

Yes to both!

I should have taken a photo of the signal flashing, and will still add one later.
They are LED - the bulbs are clear and you cant see them at all- BUT they flash in an amber color so they wont flag you for anything illegal on the street!

Also, they are totally plug and play! No splicing or anything fancy, they are same male/female plugs as stock signals that plug into the bike.

NOTE: The DP Fender Eliminator (Tail Tidy) is a bitch to install with all the tiny snap clamps and tiny screws. Make sure they are tight before you close the whole thing up since to even tighten them up again you must undue the entire thing to open it up, which is a total pain in the ass.

I do hear that Competition Werkes is coming out with their version this week!

Thanks man! I appreciate all the good thread input you have Gunny. I already have the DP eliminator installed with the gigantic stock signals and am in dire need of smaller ones.

Met this eager gentleman down at Redline yesterday who was curious about buying a 1199. He knew alot more than most new folks do which impressed me about doing his homework first before looking. Took him back into bay when he saw the wheels! He knew about the swing arm bolt, the tiny screw on front brake master cylinder, the rants about smoke, fork seals, etc. Great person who came to the right place to get his concerns explained in detail.
If he had his helmet I wouldve let him take it for a rip down the street since he was born at the same place I was, although many years before him. My fellow Marine born at Parris Island, SC! OOH-FRIGGING-RAH my friend!

I will be here for ya before, during ,and after your Panigale Purchase bro. Would your dealer be there like that? Well, maybe at ********!
