I talked to Sophia at AMS, sent the pictures and they are doing a warranty claim for the whole nose cowl for me.

Mine looked identical to SoonerNation's pic. Flobrandx, hope the decal comes in quick and looks good after install. Would like to know what you think after its installed. My dealership ordered two incase they messed the first one up.

Just visited my dealer and they have a whole new front cowl in stock waiting for me to bring the bike in when I get DDA installed next week. Based on other comments here, I thought they might just change out the decal.

Yeah, I have an appointment on Thursday to drop the bike off for the decal replacement. I'll be going over it very thoroughly when I pick it up on Friday.

From what the dealer tells me the initial bikes were shipped without the windscreen installed. Now they are installed at the factory and arrive at the dealership already installed. Hopefully that means no more over tighting issues.

Dropped my baby off Thursday expecting to get her back Friday... Then I got a call back from the dealer saying there is clear over the decal and they will have to send it out to be clear coated. To be continued... ![]() | |

Just got my baby back on Sat. afternoon ![]() Well, after talking with the service guy and gal they said the issue on the decal is how the factory prepped the fairing under the decal. It was said that it was a rougher surface and it needed to be smoother to get better adhesion for the decal. So, it is my understanding they removed the damaged decal, prepped and cleared under the old decal, installed new decal and then lots of clear. I could have missed some of the details but this is what I basically heard while I was la la land staring at my Tri after being gone for a week... I was told to check the Tri on the floor vs. mine and there was definately a difference. You could really feel the edge of the decal on the floor model. Mine is a really smooth almost non-existent transition from decal to fairing now. Good as new! |

Oh yeah, and of corse since I was at the dealer I couldn't resist and had to spend some more $ for leather pants, back protecter, and prepay for track day on Sept. 17. I can't wait! |

Flobrandx and SoonerNation, thanks for the updates. I am still working with my dealer on my decal issue. The issue I have now is decal is starting to peel up after about a month after it was replaced. When I brought my Tri in to have DDA installed and they had another Tri on the sales floor. I had them compare it to mine and then they saw the difference. Warrenty claim went in to Ducati for new front cowl like SoonerNation's. Be glad when this issue is behind me.

i am sad to say that i am in the same boat as you guys, i only picked mine up 5 days ago and noticed the same thing happening to mine, i took pics and called my dealer and they told me they are not installing the windscreens there, it was done at the factory! so they are putting the blame back onto ducati. i don't really care how it happened i just want it fixed!! they also told me that all three tri's they delivered did the same thing, one is still on the floor and it is starting to do it too. i sure hppe ducati goes good for this after spending this amount of money on their to of the line superbike. |

Sorry to hear you got this same issue, really does suck. Still waiting on my front fairing and hope issue is behind me after replacement. +1 on your last sentence, my thought as well.
