Hello Ice
I ordered in Nov 11 and got it on May 23 so bit of a wait. I got the S as I like the look the best.
If you wait for an S your can spend the extra money on bike riding gear or DP parts or similar for you bike or insurance

6k buys a lot of stuff. My 2 cents. Enjoy the new machine when you get it.

Today is the day.....Enjoy Nick

One thing I would suggest is if you are going to ride some seriously bad roads fast for a long time wear a kidney belt.
Just got out of Brissie hospital after a short stay to sort out a bladder infection caused by damaged kidneys

Yeah it is Frasers that are getting the bikes to their customers early....Wankers

I Ride: 1199s Tricolore
Hi All,

well picked it up yesterday and is it just me or does your very own tri somehow always looks a bit more special and different to any other tri. hahaha.

I'm coming from a 08 R1 so to me (this is my first duc and the very first time i've ridden a duc) this is such a different feel. The power delivery and sound is pretty crazy. I keep thinking the stock cans are too loud but from my gf following me in the car she said it sounded ok. The engine spool (best i can describe how it feels) up to 6k is ballistic. I can only imagine over 8k what it will do. (i'm really worried about my licence now).

I'm just going to do the run in by the book. Swing arm recall didn't affect mine. stock seat is a little hard but not as slippery as i would have thought reading some of the past posts. Top section of stock rear shock sticks into my thigh a bit. But i'll just have to reposition myself and it should be ok.

Here in sydney we've got a registration sticker that looks like this...

http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_gC0eVF0Ykr...ndoned+car.jpg

can the shop has put it in a plastic sleeve and screwed it onto one of the screws on the rear shock. Horrible place. Any other countries has something similar? and if so where are you guys sticking it?

Off to put on some more km's on it today. Will enjoy every second of it !!

hey nick i have my rego label in a billet tube under my black and gold personal plate. you cannot even see it. i went out today for a ride with my son and a mate with his harley. he has a custom paint job but wherever we went and stopped people only looked at the new red ducati

i do find the seat slippery and so have ordered the lumimoto seat and gold gel....will report how that goes

enjoy

I put the Ducati DP tail tidy on and did not want to put that rego label anywhere, I hate those tubes, so mine is under my removable tail section, will just show if requested.

I have over 3500 K's now, went for a another great ride today, this bike is simply fantastic, oh and if you think up to 6 k is nice, just wait, once over 8 k it is a blast.

Enjoy

Brad I went looking for the pictures of your DP tail tidy, can you repost in here? I think Nick and I would be intersted to see how its fitted, did you just hack off the larger 'X' plate holder at the bottom or how did you fix it to the DP tail tidy ??

Iceman I used the small one that came with the DP tail tidy. Pm me a email add and I will send you some pics.

Don,t know why I wasted $49 on the billet tube as of 1 Jan 2013 there is no need to display labels on bikes in NSW anymore.

The DP tail tidy replaces the whole tail section including the mounts for the indicators

Big improvement in looks IMHO
