where to place front licence plate

Hi guys,

I know it is not a problem for most of you guys, but it is, here in China.

We are asked to place both front and rear plates on bikes, what most of people do is place the front licence plate on the front suspension,(see it in attachment)

There is a hole on the front suspension of 1199, but that is for front paddock stand....

Hum.... any idea?

Scan the number plate, or better Retype it in a printable format. Take it to someone who can print it as a sticker.

Then stick it where the front racing number would go. Have seen it done before and doesn't look too bad. Depends a little on the colour of the number plate and the number of digits. Can almost look like a race number if done right IMHO. ANyway just an idea to consider.

Thanks for your advice, so brilliant!

But what they want is the "plate", not just the numbers...Yeah, I know, so weird...and so stupid...

If you really are serious about this and you dont want to be shot for not displaying a "plate" then looking at the picture you showed, you need to do something very similar. Best thing to do because of the Pani"s hollow front axle would be to use one of the various fork sliders that are on the market. Once you got something secure into the axle then youve got your base for a bracket or whatever. Good luck.

A sticker as suggested earlier should do the trick. Just make sure your font sizes follow the required legal requirements (or not ..upto you). White font on black is what is used where I am in Singapore.

Hope that helps.

How big is it ?? If it is small enough then build a holder (x2) just above the lights give some space for the air to flow over the screen and you should be good or otherwise use this as a connecting point:

No worries about front plates in Ontario. This does not apply to motorbikes but all other vehicles.
