Finally got my Panigale back yesterday! They fixed everything, exhaust, wires, all the bells and whistles, plus gave me a loaner bike while I didn't have my Panigale, gave me some gloves, and put a new rear tire on the bike before I got it back. Downsides: an exhaust plug has fallen out of the right side of the pipe right where you look through the peephole in the side of the heat shield which is now burning the shit out of my leg til I get another plug, tried every kind of bolt I could find and every thread and still couldnt get one to thread in, guess Ill have to wait for the actual plug or get someone to rethread the hole, also I believe someone opened their door into my right mirror and fairing after I got it back yesterday up at the casino kinda angry about that. Got the new comfort seat though, much better than the stock seat. Case you all don't know it was a fuel injector failure that caused the fire, fuel built up in the cat box and caused the fire. But glad to have the beast back! Now I gotta take this thing to the drag to see what it can do since no one else has made a good video of a quarter mile time yet. Also, thinking about putting engine ice in the bike, will this cause any problems that I don't know about yet before I do so?

Elite, that is good news. Did the dealer say how one would know if this condition was building up. Doesn't make a lot of sense to me as cats get hot as a result of the reaction but I won't ask too many questions. Glad to hear it is rolling and your happy. I case others may have missed my post 2 weeks ago about the plug coming out of my bike. See the pic below. Check the bolt and make sure it is tight 14Nm. engine ice is fine, it is silicate and phosphate free coolant. just make sure you flush the system well before you put the engine ice in.

[QUOTE=mavic;27048 I case others may have missed my post 2 weeks ago about the plug coming out of my bike. See the pic below. That way exhaust gases from that hole will be directed elsewhere.. |

There's a pic in one of the exhaust wrap threads. The girl taped the entire under side of the heatshield in addition to using exhaust wrap.

I really don't think it runs any cooler, but it's a track-approved coolant for our tracks here. My Panigale was coming off the track at 210-215 degrees at our last track day with the Engine ice in it.

I rode over to my dealer and they slapped a new bolt in to fix the leak. So I'm good now. Really? It was still that hot? What was your ambient temperature and what did your bike temp read out on the street? I'll be able to spot if it actually makes a difference if I know those two things. Thanks for the feedback |

Was this after a cool down lap (which could cause the water temps to be higher). | |
