For those of you inquiring about the Tamburini Corse turn signals, here are some better pics to give you an idea of size.

Wallaroo, those are some SHARP looking turn signals, my only concern would be if they are bright enough for the cagers to see your blinkers... Once you install them could you give some feedback perhaps some pics/video with them on? Thanks |

I've looked at other signals but not sure on how they will mount to the DP tail. I want a clean look without hacking up the factory wiring. I still might go with the one Gunny used to keep a clean fit and factory wiring.

Wallaroo, like I've said this bike is going to be sick when complete! However, you had to know you were going to do most of this before you ever got the bike so why pay the extra coin for the Tri? Seems to me if you went with the S instead, you'd have a few more pennies for few more goodies? |

I did actually order the bike at the start of January, but because I didnt do it through a Fraser shop I got put on the backlist until someone gave them a kick up the arse ![]() The reason I got the TRI is because it is the first one I have really liked so I went for that, and to be truthfull this is the first Ducati I wanted to buy since my 996R. So I really have only been putting this bike together since I put my order in, in Jan, so bike did come first. The guy who is doing the painting for me hates me I dont think he has anymore room on his computer because I have sent him so many designs and paint schemes. As for a few more goodies, I am sure there will be more to come over time.....so Ill just keep saving

These guy's definetly deserve a huge mention, not only for the quality of their gear, but they have even gone out of their way to make special parts out of Titainum for my bike. Many thanks to Michele Poggipolini at NCR S.r.l. - Moto One of the first things to get here.... |

Oooh man,...... it really is Bike Porn like someone mentioned earlier. Just when you think you like the levers best, along comes the turn signals, and then the NCR cap and makes you drool all over again!! ;-) Very nice!, I voted for preffering the Matt carbon look before in the poll,.... but seeing your carbonvani parts hmmmm, I'm reconsidering that opnion. Excellent taste in bling .....Oops ...performance essentials! ;-) |

![]() Matt or Glossy it really doesnt matter as long as it is carbon, I prefered the glossy because it suits what I am going to do.

It was a beautiful winter morning dawn, with clear skies and temp was around 15c before climbing to 30c. I was pretty excited as today it was up to Brisbane to have the dyno done and then down to Byron Bay for its first service. I have breakfast, a good feed of porridge and my only coffee for the day before heading out to start the sexy Italian and get her warmed up to running temp before putting on the gear and heading for the front gate. Today was also a day for trying a list of bumpy road setting's. Well lets say the first ones were so bad it was giving me blurred vision, much the same with the next 3 I tried although there was a bit of improvement each time. Ok enough of this testing I want to ride this thing so it was back to the default wet settings with an adjustment to 10 on the rear rebound. With these settings I at least knew I had to get out of the seat when it got really bad, something I have had to do with all my Ducati's when riding goat tracks like this.....the only difference with the Panigale is I am going at least 20-30KM/H faster. After about 60 KM I finally get to the Mount Lindsey twistes a 20 min ride of corners where the highest posted speed limit is 50km/h even though top limit is 100km/h. I am into the first 1km of corners when suddenly as I am coming around a blind 20km/h corner at a lean that I know is chewing at my Diablo on the side of the tyre I hit a section where a rain shower has come though at who knows when....well to say that these tyres are shit on a wet road is a understatment. Next minute I am 2 wheel drifting and life flashes before my eyes, while at the same time my sphincter closes so tight it would crush a hazlenut, I quickly throw the bike upright at a speed that was unbecoming of my 57 year old reflexes only to find I am in a speedway power slide and looking at a 200yr old rainforest tree that wants to make me and my sexy Italian the final place of resting in this world. Traction control is definetly not going to save me as it is only set on 2, but this nimble beautiful Italian does as she comes back into line, albiet on the wrong side of the road. I am alive !!!, and for the next few k's at snail pace I mutter fuck me at least a 100 times until I get to the QLD border and into the downhill run of twisties where for some unknow reason it hadnt rained. I am in love with this bike even more and if I wasnt already married.....well Ill keep that thought to myself ![]() The rest of the run to Brisbane was as always when you get on this bike a dream come true. I got to the dyno only to find we had to rush the bike through due to another flu epedemic and no staff, so unfortunetly we had no time to disconnect the rear wheel sensors, which when the bike is run through to 10,000 rpm will make it run rich and drop the HP a bit. Andrew who races drag bikes is a master at this and was very impressed with the 176.9HP that it put out as stock and said it might have been another 3-5 hp better, something that we will find out when I run it with the full system on around Sept 6th. Ok here is the graph of the first Dyno before it undergoes its transformation and we do 2 more. Last edited by Wallaroo; August 25th, 2012 at 12:29 AM. |

![]() Finally got the bike in for it's first service at 1500km, didnt want to part with it ![]() I had the suspension changed to P, the Passenger pegs fitted and the full Ceramic coated system installed. First off the P setting does appear to soften the suspension up, but it does take away that hard racy Ducati feeling that I am so accustom to, so it will at some time be put back to F. I also took the better half for a spin today and I found with her on the bike again the wet settings worked well for around here on the bumpy roads. Sport setting nearly had her out of the seat on numerous occasions, but was excellent on the smoother roads. Now to the Full system, Wow does this make a change to this machine, freeier reving, deep booming sound and gone is the just audible pop on gear change to almost a bark........comments from the crew after I Left the shop was it sounded nearly MotoGP like ![]() I found it to be so much better, bit like it was being strangled with the stock system on and now it has been let loose. I have also started getting up into the higher rpm's and this unleashes the monster that lies within and it is simply awesome.....cannot wait to get this bike on the track ![]() Also got to ride it at night and it was for around 200km and the lights are unreal, finally a Ducati sportsbike that has lights where I can actually see something. Is the bike cooler with the ceramic coated headers, no because most of the heat comes from the engine as I can touch the exhaust after riding and it still has the same heat. Nothing as bad as my 996, so no complaints from me. Didnt get a chance to fit the Rizoma Reservoirs because I wanted the bike back But I hope to get the rims and a few NCR bits fitted next week, plus the 2nd dyno is booked in for the 6th.Here are some pics of the bits that were fitted this time......Passenger seat, Passenger Pegs and Termi's + Headers. Great write up, happy to read how much you are enjoying it! and be careful out there!!!! Bike is looking good, can see it slowly coming together now. The suspense of seeing it when done is..........aargh!!! Like iceman said looking forward to seeing the next dyno run! It'll be good to get some info from a trusted single source/dyno etc. I'm also considering the full system and coating it etc but hearing from people like yourself is what will decide if it's worth it (now or later). |

Black ceramic headers - super nice Engine carbon guard - nice, but I wish it followed the bodywork line \F/P - clear this is personal preference and road quality dependent. I'm staying with F. Wallaroo - be careful with that stock rear plate hanger. As you're going 2-up, its dangerously long ![]() Re header feedback - just stop. Imagine the grief I'll get if a box of red ceramic coated pipes arrives from Termignoni |
