UK recall letter arrived today

Apologies if posted already, but today I received a letter from Ducati UK listing 5 recalls.
1. Exhaust butterfly cable support.
2. Ohlins steering damper washer.
3. Steering damper retaining screws.
4. Swing arm shafts torque.
5. Front brake master cylinder nut.
Hope this is all - I've had absolutely no problems with mine since new.

Same as above, dealer is just waiting for the bits before booking my bike in.

Should be sorted next week

I'm due to get my Pani either tomorrow or the next day. It's being imported from mainland Spain. Its a base model.

Is this recall just for UK bikes? Does it affect all models? How long are the parts likely to take to arrive?

Any answers greatly appreciated.

My dealer got the note today, will fix this with the 1000 km service.
Gonna pick up my bike this friday
I'm from the Netherlands (europe), so i think it affects all models worldwide.

Got my letter today, informing me of the 'upgrade kit', I suppose you could call it that, kinda spoiling the experience a bit for me, having to arrange another trip to the dealer to make sure nothing melts or falls off, Hmmmm.

Still I guess you get what you pay for

"Upgrade kit" are you kidding me. Fixing faults is not an upgrade when you spend upwards of €21K on a bike!!!!!!!!!

Second time I've not received a recall letter from Ducati; never had anything about the swingarm bolt either. Not good enough. I was on track Friday, what if this had been safety critical? Going to ring them tomorrow and ask whats going on. I have no issue with recalls, its good to know that they're proactive about fixing issues, but not notifing owners of recalls is unacceptable.

Just checked and nothing seems to have been registered with VOSA, you can search here:

VOSA - Vehicle Recalls

Only recall registed is for the swingarm bolt.

That's because it's not officially a recall, it's an opportunity for you to take advantage of their free 'upgrade kit'

If you ring them ask them what's the procedure for getting the 2013 rhs lower panel.

Is that what the letter says? How can it be a free upgrade kit and not a recall when it fixes the potential for the loss of all the oil from the front brake reservoir? And what gives with the torque on the swingarm shaft, is it under torqued?

Thanks, I spoke to Ducati UK today and they said that because its holiday time in Italy the power was down at the factory and there are no IT sytems for the next two days. Asked them to send me a copy of the letter, but nothing yet.

Can anyone who has had teh "upgrade" kit fitted please post a picture of the revised bolt fitting for the master cylinder.

I am told my bike does not need the upgrade, however, the master cylinder bolt defo sticks out, although it is the nut that is actually rubbing the hose.

Just take the bolt out that holds the front brake reservoir to the bracket and put a couple of stainless steel washers directly under the head of the bolt. This packs the bolt out so that it no longer touches the rubber hose. Doing it this way doesn't make the reservoir any higher and so it still clears the faring. Good stopgap until you get it "upgraded"
