Installed the Luimoto seat cover tonight

Nice product and great fit and quick to install. It is cut very accurately and as long as the edges are pulled to match the existing cover (it can be put on over the original) it fits perfect. Took about 20 minutes. Had to wrestle it a bit to stretch it to final staple position but it came out really nice.

Got the one with an alcantara like texture as I always slide forward a little on hard braking and it feels more grippy.

Overall, a good (kind of expensive at 160) purchase and nice fit and finish. The red green and white embroidery is a nice touch.

Nice, that's the one I want. For the regular seat...I assume you stretched this over the stock seat (not the race seat or the comfort seat). Did you do anything for the hardness of the seat, like some of that gel?

Pics would be nice, thanks. Because I like the flag as well but I'm thinking it might be too long....

Yes pls post some pics. Assume you didn't put in any of that gold gel? Did you remove thevoriginal cover or put over the top? And what sort of staple gun did you use?

Pics will follow when I get access to my laptop...iPads don't let me post up pics

The instructions are easy to follow and I used the recommended T-50 staple gun with 6mm x 1/4" staples.

I went over the top of the original. No extra pads or gel. I like the seat as is comfort wise.

Louiag's pic looks good but doesn't do it justice in the details. I'll try to put up a few images tonight.

The colors are a nice accent and give a little more nationality to the bike

I spoke with their Sales Rep yesterday. They currently do NOT have a cover which will go over either the DP race or comfort seat, only OEM.

Also take note, the stock seat cover does NOT come off, it's fused to the seat foam on the seat, so your only option is to install the Luimoto cover over the stock cover.

I have the same seat cover. Very pleased. I did spray it down with 3M spray adhesive first though. It keeps wrinkles from appearing in the future.

Jarel.
What make and model wheels do you have there? Also, what tank pads are on sides of it? I really like the cover. Did you use the gel inserts too? Briefly looked at site but are there options for the script or do they all say 1199? I did see you can get customized stuff added for special prices too.

Marchesini Forged Magnesium wheels. Those are the Stomp Grip tank pads. I didn't use an insert, just slipped over the stock seat cover, I want the firm feel for the track to get feedback from the rear of the bike. The Team Italia cover comes standard with the 1199 embroidered logo, I think it looks very nice. We have one of these left in stock if anyone wants one quick:

There is no indication if you still have this in stock on your site... I placed an order but have no clue if I got the last one...

Both look very nice. May have to go this route instead of a DP seat which will add height.

You got it. The site doesn't show stock, we have humans who go through the orders and confirm stock so you'll get an email on it tomorrow during biz hours.

Love to hear your thoughts on the Luimoto. I just received the Luimoto on another bike that I am going to put on. I'll see how I like it, but I have a lot fewer options for seats on that bike than on the Duc.

That seat cover is sharp looking. Too bad they don't have one for the comfort seat.

Yeah I was emailing back and forth with main rep at their co. When he saw pic of my bike he said right away that they dont have one out for DP seats yet. I may get the word on this quicker than normal since Im presently working an inside deal with the Co right now and end up with something soon. Will def be doing the Gold Gel option on the stock seat as an extra bonus for the bike. So many colors, script, embroidery and options to choose from ya know?

Will keep yoos guys posted on what I hear ok!

Tried the seat out at the track today, it does NOT work as a racing seat, is just as slippery as the stock seat. Going to go back to the racing seat only cut the foam down thinner since I found the seat to be too tall for me.
