can't find N when engine cold?

Hey guys,

anyone else have trouble finding Neutral when the engine is cold. I should say that it doesn't want to go into N at all when engine is cold. Sometimes the display flickers between N and 2. But it's fine when the engine is warm/hot.

bit of a pain the ass. software? fixable?

A Ducati is like a woman...you have to get them both hot and well lubricated before you ride them

How many kms have you done? I'm having the same problem so turned the DQS off to utilize the clutch whilst being run in thinkin this would fix it but after 450 kms it's no better. I doubt updated software will fix it, this is a mechanical issue.

It's a pain in the ass, hopefully my dealer can fix it when it goes in for its first service. Let me know if you manage to solve the problem in the mean time.

Nick
It needs a recalibration of the qs program. Its happenned to my bike a couple of times and caused me problems starting it last time out. Does not seem to occur when hot. I spoke to techs about it and they said it has happenned to one other as well.

They are re doing the calibration on mine at first service in a few weeks when I get the Upgrade Kit installed.

cheers

Quick additional question instead of a separate header.....

Have any of you had DQS issues from 5th to 6th ?? Mine seems to kick into N often when using the DQS from 5th.... all others gears seems to be no issue at all......

Feedback any one or anyone with the same experience ?

If you're hard on the throttle and over 6-7k rpm on that shift, you're going to be hauling ass.
I usually don't use it on that shift. Had one missed and bounced the limiter.

EDIT: Just realised you're in Germany. Scratch the above from the record and carry-on. :-)

I get a few false neutrals if using the DQS at low revs and soft shifting. You need to be under power and up the revs.
