...what would you spend it on?! Help me throw around some cash; just wondering what everyone else would do to modify/fix/upgrade/splurge on for your Pani. I've already got an idea what I was thinking about doing to it this long winter, so I figure I would see if I'm missing anything and see what you personally would do.

* I'm not talking about new gear, lessons, track days, spare tires, dues, and tuning but specificlly performance wise for your bike. This includes whatever 1199 you have.

Interesting to see what different routes everyone would go.

Got the Tri so have only done the R&G Tailtidy and the DP Carbon rear hugger so far.

However 10K ! I think I'd probably go with the Carbon Wheels like Zvez said and then some rear sets etc with/if anything left over ;-)

On the Base ? suppose it depends on whether you intend to race or commute with it. Suspension upgrade like B1six said if you intend to race and the carbon wheels if that 10K stretches that far, but maybe just an "Ohlins inside" if for commuting and spend the money on bling.

Well, since you said performance and not bling:

1. Suspension - the stocker's greatest weakness. I see you have a base like me, so say, a TTX cartridge kit up front and TTX36Mk2 in back, with springs and shim stacks set up for your weight and intended use.
2. Weight - less = more. Shorai battery will knock off about 5lbs cheap and easy. Wheels, not cheap but worth about 8-9lbs of rotating weight at the ends of the chassis. BST, March or OZ mags, pick your poison.
3. Power - hard to say yet, but probably a slipon with a fueling module and good tune to even out the A/F and try to fill in some of the dip from 5-7K. Likely would get another 5lbs + off the weight as well. I don't really care about more top end, but that's just me. Heck at my size, you guys dressing out at 210+ would have to steal Checa's bike to get the pull I get from an average-running stocker. See above comment about weight...
4. If you're a bargain hunter, you might have enough left for some adjustable rearsets and clipons to get your ergos dialed. Qualifier: If the stock fit doesn't work for you, move this to #1. If you're happy as is, don't waste the money; maybe grab some grippier pegs or just whip out the file and get to sharpening. Find a local auto upholstery shop that can recover/reshape the stock seat to your liking, or go for the DP race seat if that works for you. Some tank grips are a given too. Not much to grab onto there, so anything helps.
5. OK, you've blown your $10K now, so shift some of the takeoff bits and invest in a good setup visit with a pro who knows what they're doing so you can take full advantage of all the goodies you just bought.

Well, this is the direction I was going to head as soon as all these products are release & I can find a company that can get me most of this so I can save a little on shipping. I'm going this route unless I hear of something better out on the market till then.

Forks: OHLINS NIX FGRT 203 Forks w/the 30mm NIX Cartridge Kit ~$2500.00

* All this should be a pretty decent set up. Might be able to make a little back selling the ENKEI wheels, SACHS Shock & MARZOCHII Forks too. The HID kit, fender eli, custom tag holder, LED turn signal set up, block off plates & color matching the rear end should hold me off until I can afford anything else for awhile lol. What do you think about this list? Decent direction? jw, thx for the good reads so far btw.

@Rocky907 - note that if you go with the full FGRT203 fork, you're also going to have to change at least the upper triple and clipons, since the Ohlins is not as fat as the Marzocchi at the upper end; 53mm vs 58mm. Not sure if it's the same at the lower triple as the OEM Ohlins on the S, but probably is. Base and S use the same lower triples.

Myself, I'd probably go with the TTX 25mm cartridge kit and leave the RAC50 legs on, although selling the stock forks might make the difference small to nil if you could get a decent price for them. And whatever exhaust solution you end up with do budget for a fueling module along the lines of the Rapidbike or PC (when they're out).

And considering your AC, you might soon want to be looking at a nice matte Carbonvani Ski for the front and some NCR Ti studs for that Supercorsa out back. Iditagale!

Base model and 2 seasons of track days and some track schools. No other performance upgrade will give you more.

I've done the toss-everything-at-a-bike in the past and loved the results but TBH it was a bike where someone of our ability level would notice, IOW not an amateur or professional racer. I poured a lot into a 2002 RC51 because when you did you made leaps and bounds with that bike. Modern bikes on the S1RR or Panigale level will not see those leaps. But you as a rider pouring 10K into yourself will see it and more importantly keep it after you move on from the Panigale.

You want a real return on your investment, invest in your self. Every dollar will reap $2 in yrs to come.
