That does appear a bit high, but obviously different dyno's will give different results and then you have to determine whether its corrected for humidity/temperature/different bikes/etc/etc. . .

Most 1199's I'm seeing is about 164-168 at the rear wheel if its properly dyno'ed. I've not seen 177 at a properly calibrated dyno. You might want to see what that dyno is reporting for other bikes. The BMW might be 200+ at the rear wheel :-).

Mine on a Dyna Pro Dyno put down 171.

The 'shop' bike put down 176 on the same dyno. Pretty close (3-4% difference). All speed sensors were disconnected, etc.

You can be sure this is properly calibrated.
This guy is a champion drag bike racer and he needs to know to the exact HP what he is getting.
Plus he was recommended to me by a top superbike champion.

Just thought I would put this in this thread as well.....Once I add the Rapid Bike Module we should see around 190-192Hp.

Dyno figures from a bike that was delivered the same day as mine, with same set up, termi slips etc got 186rwhp. This bike was run in hard though... I couldn't believe it, the dyno and the operator are very reliable however. Guess there is some truth to 'Gunnys' ride it like you stole it approach!!!

I dont think there is really any difference to how you run it in.

Craig McMartin who is a World Champion ran the demo bike here in by the book and that got 185 with the headers and Termi's on......I think it is more down to Dyno's as well.....I pretty much had all the same factors as the first run, only difference was humidity was less on this run.

He also did his race bike and got 192 with the full Titanium superstock headers, which arent quite as restrictive at the front of the header near the radiator as the stock 70mm ones, hence the need to remove the fan.

Going to be interesting once I play with some different ecu's, I have been offered to test a new one on the market for free and I have the module from Rapid bike...lots of fun coming up

I Ride: Ducati 1199 Base Model
I feel that after I got the bike back from the fire that I lost some HP. I weigh 130 lbs wet and I have a base model bike. I have brought up the issue with my tech and they are going to look into it. Anyways... BEFORE the fire here's what it would do... first gear wheelie, second gear wheelie, 3rd gear headshake, 4th gear headshake, all from a lot of power being put to the rear wheel and front end floating, it pulled hard til it hit 186 mph, engine temps fine, no leaks. NOW this is what it does... first gear wheelie, second gear sometimes, 3rd gear no headshake, 4th gear no headshake, tops out around 175 mph and it slowly crawls there from about 160, some kind of liquid spraying against my heat shield on the exhaust probably oil and it looks like a small gasket leak in my top cylinder, and my engine temp RISES after 100 mph instead of cooling. I am not power hungry but it is aggravating when your bike runs one way, then it runs another after being serviced or repaired. I wont rant and blame anyone as I did after the fire, but I do want it to run the way it used to. My guess may be low compression, which they say they tested it after they repaired it and it was fine. But my guess is by what I am seeing in its performance that I have lost 10 to 15 hp. I'll be getting an oil change and having some other warranty issues done tomorrow, so I'll be sure to have them check out the bike thoroughly. I miss my old power!!!

Again, ya should have just let it burn to ashes. The bike will never be the same. I feel bad for you.

I tend to agree with Efna, but you didnt so I just hope your dealer can get it sorted for you as it must be frustrating getting your bike back and it's not the same..

Good luck with it all and I hope you get it sorted.

Same problem. Starts with right blinker then left won't shut off then top toggle switch and horn. Waiting on new dash. Hope they have this sorted by the time warranty expires. Don't see myself having to buy new one every year.
