panigale dyno result. false reading?

I'm confused of companies, magazines, dyno, shootout

What's the go with really different results?

As low as 158whp - 192whp. I understand that each dyno Is different and that depending on location it may also affect the result.

But the matter I'd when I see magazine company do shootout on same dyno with panigale being well below makes me abit annoyed. And I don't even own one yet.

So to ask the owners for the truth. I'm sure some have dyno there's but what you guys think why the difference in results for dyno.

I have mine booked in to be Dynoed tomorrow near Brisbane with the standard system on, then I will fit the 70mm ceramic coated headers and Termi's and get it done next week.
Then I will fit the Rapid Bike Evo module with a MWR high flow air filter and get it done again......Graphs to follow.

This I hope will give us the answers.

Cheers wallaroo

Please for accurate reading. I know dyno shops sometime set dyno machine to give big numbers rather then accurate reading.

All dyno's are different and the actual output will vary on numerous external factors.

Main thing I'd use a dyno for is to look at performance gains or fuelling set up pre and post mods.

Ok here you go, unfortunetly we didnt get time to disconnect the rear wheel sensors which might have cost us up to 5hp.
But we will do that next time when I run it with the full system.

Andrew at Procycle Dyno was very impressed with the results considering it is only stock and this is coming from a guy that races drag bikes.

Nice! That's a big difference over the 156 to 158 the magazines are showing.

Just as a sidenote on the RRW test; that comparo (where the Pani came 2nd in HP to the S1KRR) was done not just on a Dynojet, but BY Dynojet themselves, using their official truck and equipment. Was done in the desert at near 110F ambient temp though, so I'd expect a bit more with some cool dense air for the SQ to suck on.

Hi George....Now that is a good point.

I went to race setting and turned everything off and then we ran it on the dyno and then I went and turned everything back on again, anyway as I was getting the graph I suddenly thought did I actually change it to race from wet on the dash for the dyno run, I asked Andrew if he could remember what he saw on the dash but couldnt, lucking enough I have everything set at TC 2, ABS 2 and engine 195Hi, but I use the wet default suspension settings for bumpy roads......so there is a possiblty the TC could still have been set at 2.

If the TC was on and the sensors not disconnected I would say we could have been looking at 180.
I am not to worried as we will have time to do it all corectly next time and if there is a huge variation in HP with the full system on we will know why.
If there is a drop in HP with the full system on then we will know that there is a problem with the full system, but that is not what I am hearing.

The next run I will do at 2500km which is only 1000 to go and is booked in for the 6/09

Hey Wallaroo, can you clarify the dyno graph you got there. I cant see any of the figures clearly on my PC,even when I magnify it. What was the HP reading from 6500rpm through to 10K? cheers. BTW what mileage you at? Thanks

Milage was 1139km

What was from 6000-10? still none the wiser here Wallaroo, you aint stated any HP figures in your posts and I can"t read your dyno graph clearly. Doesn"t the printout graph you have there show RPM along the bottom line? thats usually the norm.

Lol....sorry mate, still in a Sunday morning daze

Ok the bottom figure is km/hr on this graph which peaks at 210 , there is no RPM printout, and the HP was 176.99.

The next run will have all the figures as we really had to rush this one through.
