First Track Day 082512 at Thunderhill Raceway

Beautiful day at the track. First track day on the 1199. Had a blast! What a fun bike to rip on.

Couple of observations:

- after have the suspension set up, made a huge difference on the tire wearing, but the 1199 was shredding the SP's on the walls pretty hard

- tire pressure was jumping all over the place. It was 93 degrees outside, and CT Tires recommended 28 front 27 rear

- installed Rizoma B-Pro pegs before the track day, and made a HUGE difference in grip

- The DQS is quite awesome, and thinking about switching to GP-style reverse shifting to speed things up a bit

The suit feels amazing! It's like you're wearing a second skin. The Avro has a ton of flex panels which negates the break-in period. Feels great on day one.

Awesome! I'm sure you'll be in love with it as soon as you put it on. I also have a Dainese Paraschiena Wave back protector underneath, and the suit fits like a glove. Let us know how you like it!

Thanks so much! Wish I didn't just spend my first born's college fund on all of it, but at the end of the day (track day), it's worth it.

Thanks so much! Wish I didn't just spend my first born's college fund on all of it, but at the end of the day (track day), it's worth it.

I am sure your first born would not mind when your first born sees where that fund went too lol , I can't wait for this weekend to come and my track day to test out the suit and the bike,

Oh for sure! Track days are addicting! I used regular standard gaffers tape. Doesn't leave any residue. Works great!

which map did you use? Full Race mode @ 195hi? The throttle response sounded really smooth on the video.

I guess not! No one said anything. I don't think the stock exhaust hits 103 does it?

I started on Full Race default, and my tires were getting chewed up QUICK! Had a good suspension tune (preload along with the comp and rebound dash) and switched to Sport Mode. In the video, you're hearing 195lo.
