I've been wearing the Shoei RF1100 since it came out a few years ago and have absolutely no complaints. It's quiet, has all the air vents you can open/close and has the removable pads and liner you can wash and/or replace with thicker or thinner pads to match your noggin. It also comes in all sorts of colors....even the green/white/red paint scheme for all you posers...hee hee. I feel that a helmet choice also has to do with the shape of your head. Arai didn't fit that well as I have a more oval shaped dome.

Does Ducati pay you for the advertising you have on your helmet?

I am currently using 2 helmets. My helmet of choice is the Suomy excel spec 1r extreme wall st edition. In my opinion its the best helmet for me at any price. I have owned arai corsair and the suomy just blows it away in comfort and graphics. the helmet has a 750 list but you can find them for around 500 on the net. It has alcantera inside snug fit and good ventilation. It is also very light. Hands down best helmet i have ever owned and that includes shoei and arai as i said. My second helmet is the Bell rs1 born free graphics. I have to say very happy with this helmet. Very well ventalated comfortable but doesn't fit my head as well as the suomy. Almost forgot the transition shield is a must have no changing shields it changes darkness for you. i have to be honest i got this helmet strictly for the graphics but its a great second helmet. I have to say to spend 850 on the corsair v when you can get 2 suomy spec 1 r is just crazy. The top of the line helmets from any brand are all basically equal. That being said if all the top helmets were the same price i would get the suomy again and again. Disclaimer the new agv helmet is starting to call my cell phone getting hard to ignore.

I currently have a Shoei X-12. Very happy with the fit and finish, however the ventilation sucks compared to the X-11 it replaced.

I'm very close to pulling the trigger on a Schuberth SR1 Technology in matte black. That thing looks SWEET, and is suppose to be very light with great ventilation. However, the only places I can find it in stock are either in Italy, Germany or UK. Guess it hasn't made it to the US yet. Seems like motostorm has the best price.

Ultimately its what features are for you. (not getting into graphics)

I have a Suomy (vandal or superbike depending in which market you are in) and if weight, plush liner and good anti-fogging are important then this is great.

If high speed stability and balance, overall head ventilation and safety features are paramount then the Corsair V is my pick.

Ultimately both have a racing heritage but Arai has the edge there. Suomy is definitely lighter but my neck is more tired after using the Suomy at high speed.

It was a hard decision so it's good to share why you chose your particular helmet. For some it'll be Ducati vs BMW....

Currently operating with a AGV-GP Tech 5 Continents Rossi rep. It's very light, has great air flow(you can actually feel the air moving in it). Doesn't lift at speed and don't measure sound so who cares how loud it might be. Usually an Aria guy but of late have been AGVing it. That is all

With the volume up all the way I hear the music fine, the speakers stick/velcro into the ear cavities. I can take calls too, jsust can be a bit noisey. I am on call a lot, so I least know I ahve missed a call, and know who based on ring tone!

Schuberth SR1 for track days and Arai Corsair V for normal around town riding. The Schuberth is much quieter than any other helmet I have used which really helps for the track (can go without actually using ear plugs). Arai Corsair V because it vents really really well.

I wanted CF, even though the it's really an HJC, I got the Joe Rocket RKT-201.

Love the look, noise is low, fit is PERFECT for my head, but it lifts a bit > 90ish.
