Taken my Duc onto the drag strip weeks ago. Made only 3 passes in nearly 5 hours because of a competition at the track. Did a respectable 10.52. Gotta go back this weekend probably and get it down to low 10's. Then I'll be happy. Anyone else have any times or videos they'd like to post?

Chris Harris video is pretty entertaining: Ben Cope from Visor Down managed a 10.693 against a Porsche 997 GT2 RS at Santa Pod. |

Here it is! Much better than the other day. I turned my TC off, 195 Hi of course, I had problems spinning off the line, never had a problem hooking up before but my friend said I should let some of the air out in the tire so I brought it down to 20 PSI, I think that was the mistake. I never spun last time at the drag track so next time I go I'll keep the normal tire pressure in it to see if it makes it better or worse. Also, I figured out that if you keep your TC off and give it half throttle in first... then soon as you hit second full throttle it, that gave me my best runs. But this time that you see I actually spun a bit off the line. I think my bike is losing HP too so it's very impressive with that fact too. I already told my dealer about it, but it feels less powerful in each gear, heats up after 100+ mph, and only tops out at 172 or so with my 130 lb ass on it. Hasn't rode like it used to. It's been like this since after the fire. I'll give them a chance to fix the issue though. Anyways... here is the result of the drag. Ambient temp was about 68 degrees. Bike temp was over 210 P.S. Case you can't see it: RT .124 (Slow) 60ft 1.870 330ft 4.649 1/8mile 6.801 MPH 115.57 1000ft 8.675 1/4mile 10.280 MPH 139.38 Last edited by elitesoldier357; September 10th, 2012 at 06:39 PM. |

Ill try again either this week or in a couple weeks. I gotta change a couple things and see if it makes a difference.

After installing the AR exhaust and a Tuneboy ecu reflash I decided to take the pani down to WSID last night for my first ever experience of doing a few 1/4 mile runs. I got there a little late and only managed to get in 3 runs so posted here is my best run I did. PS, I was still short shifting from 1st through to 4th as the front just wants to lift from 6,000 rpm up. But with a better rider the bike is capable of at least another half a second quicker times. Reaction time: .402 (very slow to react) 60ft ... 1.889 330ft ... 4.586 1/8 ... 6.763 MPH ... 112.80 Km/h ... 181.53 1000ft ... 8.648 1/4 mile ... 10.255 MPH ... 144.13 Time slip.jpg wsid 000..jpg wsid 006.jpg Last edited by Copiya; April 24th, 2013 at 06:49 PM. Wow, you guys are throwing down some fast 1/4 mile times! Having done this lots on an RC51, the Pani is posting way faster numbers. Do know that the distance interval times on your time slips don't include the reaction time. The distance interval times start measuring the moment the bike starts moving. To get the overall winning time, you have to add the 1/4 mile time to the reaction time. You can post a slower 1/4 mile but still win the race through a killer reaction time. I've got a few slips around here that have that |

Love ya work boys, Keep it up. ![]() Elite and Copiya do you guys have the 41 tooth or the 39 tooth sprocket? Some one with the quick change sprocket should put a 43 tooth on and give it a go! |

How many hard launches you think she can take before your clutch is toast? I've never dragged a sportbike since I've always been afraid of frying the clutch, but I must say, it would be fun to throw down a low 10 on a stock bike! |

i attempted the qtr mile last summer. 10.4 was my best time. Pretty hard to get it out of the hole playing in first gear. Than first second and third the trick is to keep the front wheel down. (which it never does) it would take way to much time to practice to get the numbers down lower, its capable of it. But than i'm reminded this bikes not designed for drag racing. Buy a Busa or a zx14. Low, long & heavy. |
