Adjustable rear sets for the 1199

Hope I am in the right place! My husband keeps talking about these rear sets that he wants for his bike...I know NOTHING about riding or motorcycles so please advise!!! Where should I look and/or do you have any recommendations? I am not sure what it is exactly and if there is a certain model/brand that I have to get. His birthday is coming up soon and I want to surprise him and make him think I know what he is talking about! (lol)...thanks in advance!!!

hi welcome

this is the link to help you out
please make sure its the same bike the 1199 as you posted
for ducati 1199 panigale there is only 1 type to fit all so doesnt matter if he has BASE MODEL or S or TRICOLORE
all rearset will fit as long as its for the 1199

good luck on choice

I remember him saying it was around $1000 bucks because the bike it new (or something to that effect) so that is what I was thinking I was going to pay...what is so great about the lightech?

I do not have any but saw the Ducati Products ones (DP) on a bike the other day and they looked trick.

I am sure you will get lots of opinions. Gilles ones look nice too.

if he has been buying original ducati stuff.

maybe jackets shirts helmet from ducati or ducati parts for his bike.
maybe stick with ducati (DP parts) - DP rearset about $999 so thats was maybe what his talking about.

lightech is like the racing track rearset so i hear because its adjustable.

there is no real fav, each to there own. picking out the right one that he is after might be hard, if he is as fussy as me i wouldnt spend the buck and ask him. if his not and you want to surprize him, im sure you cant go wrong with the original part (Ducati Performance part).

thats just my opinion
im just trying to help so no one jump my back for recommending DP lol

+1 blue bear... Good advice I'd think the safe bet is the DP ones though

I agree with Bluebear and Iceman

I think you cannot go wrong with getting him the DP part I am sure he would be happy. Nice to keep original ducati parts on the bike.

If you don't know what DP means, DP = Ducati performance.

Ducati 1199 Panigale Rearsets (96451111B) | Pro Italia

You can't go wrong with those.

I wouldn't my wife picking them out for me either. $1000 is a lot of money, and he may feel guilty about returning them. Maybe get a gift certicate, or make one up for his choice. Go the the link above, print out a doc with each pic, and have a line at the bottom saying "Pick One, Happy Birthday" !
