Loose rear resevoir cap?

He everyone, just wondering how many have actually experienced losing their rear resevoir cap. I haven't, but seem to recall seeing a few posts implying this is common.

FWIW, I secured mine for next to nothing using a cable holder, a zip tie and some rtv. I just used some trimmers to cut the corners off the cable holder so it is more hex-shaped.

TBO, this was probaby more of just a reason to mess with the bike (and drink beer), but that cap isn't coming off now. Zip tie is secured so it holds pressure down and also won't allow a CCW spin. At first I just used the double sided tape on the cable holder, but the heat just allowed the thing to slide on the cap after engine came to running temp. So I removed the double sided tape & used a little silicone RTV and it's good now. I had all this stuff laying around so didn't cost anything.

Yeah I lost mine on the second day of ownership . It was replaced under warranty. Now I just check it as part of my pre-ride inspection.

I noticed my fluid had gone very dark and so I proceeded to bleed the fluid. That's when I noticed the cap was loose.
Thanks for the idea for. Fix. I was going to safety wire it.
