Hot damn, the more I fall in love with my bike the more I fall in love with it. The DQS at right-on, or just under, 5k with a moderate throttle is just butter. It works everywhere, but that's where it makes every other gearbox feel like.. well.. shit. ![]() That is all... ..as you were. j. |

I know what you mean, but It CAN be done. It's taken me almost 3000klm for the 1-2 shift to be as smooth as the others.. I don't think it's the 'box bedding in, I honestly think it's just developing a "feel" for throttle position / RPM. If I'm just running along from light to light with traffic, I won't use the DQS for the 1-2 shift. Throttle percentage is too low, but if you're first at the lights and manage to get away briskly (not crazy fast) it can be done.. j. |

I have issues from 5th to 6th..... under strain it just hits neutral........ WTF !!! Frustrating !!!! Other gears run through easy... but when you need it, it reminds you how the bike sounds when you rev it hard (neutral)...grrrr !! |

Whats the right RPM from 1st to 2nd? I have tried 3-4-5K rpm and the change just feels rough. All the other gears are just like you said smooth close to 5K. Still in the breaking in period so not sure if it goes away after.

I have the same problem changing up into 6th but sometimes it also slips out of 5th. Garage mentioned tweaking the shifter position to make a more positive shift - I haven't done it yet but will have a go before the winter comes. Keep Smilin |

If you're cruising in the cellar, use the clutch. It's not mandatory, but it's smoother.

Changing from 1st to 2nd using the DQS is just not on when at low speeds or rpm, better to use the clutch. But when changing at higher rpm it is just insane....you can actually make the bike bark. Something I like doing when going past the Woodenbong beer garden when its full of Sunday bikers

Yea, sometimes it sounds like a pitbull when it hits that low growl. lol. Love the sound vs. a japanese bike. Had lots of people at jamba juice and starbucks asking me to let them hear the engine.
