SO SORRY for all the delays. I finally got the LED's to work but not w/o a HUGE resistor. I am working on either getting a smaller one or re-routing it so it isn't jammed up under the fairing. They get pretty hot so I have to also take that into consideration too. I will keep you informed as we move along. STW has been kind enough to let me use his 1199 as a test bike so he can attest to my road blocks. Thanks all.

I had to put 10ohm sandstone resistors for the LED turn signals to work when I took out my stock ones. They are a pain as the resistor is huge. Hope you can come out with some smaller solution. There have been other people who did not need resistors when switcing from 12v bulbs to LED turn signals(OEM and aftermarket) in the rear. If members here who did not need to add resistors or otherwise chime in, it could help. I don't know much about LEDs but could it be that using certain kind of LEDs will need use of resistors? |

You cant use any TMD resistors in series? If the LEDs are rated for the voltage they will be provided stock, they will work, but the flash rate will speed up. I've always accepted the higher flash rate. The resistors are usually HUGE.

I had no problems replacing the rear turn signals with LEDs and chucked the supplied resistors in the trash. We will see if I have problems with the fronts as I am about to install some Watson design turn signals under the headlights.

Watsen Design LEDs are awesome. Have them on my CBR for 5 years without issues. Please share some info. once you reroute the wiring and post some pics if possible. Thx.

Resistors are used to drop the voltage so it doesn't blow the leds. Surely theres a voltage regulator solution at a fraction of the size? Cycle gear sells a replacement flasher for about $20 that allows the use of LED signals without resistors. I used it on my F4 and it works fine. Its a small black box about the same size as a small relay housing that connects to the flasher circuitry. Just like this one ![]() LED Flasher Relay Fast Blinker Fix Plug and Play for Most Motorcycles Elfr 1 | eBay (apologies if someone else posted this solution as I confess to only having read the first and last pages of this thread) Last edited by Marcoma; October 23rd, 2012 at 12:26 PM. |

I used the flasher relay on my cbr to correct the blinking rate. On the 1199, i was not able to locate this flasher relay. My dealer's service department had no clue where one exists on the Panigale. I also searched the parts fiche and could not find one. |
