If they actually manufacture an R version, which seems that they will, I would wait for the EICMA show when the full specs are available and then decide which one to buy. I suppose you all remember the 1098R. It wasn't only the extra dispacement that the bike had from 1098/s bikes, the bike was all special starting from the frame and the very special desmo cylinder heads with larger titanium valves, titanium rods, different, very light crank (remember, WSBK rules sais that the V2 race bike must use the standard production rods/crankshaft so the homologated bike is very-very special), the dual injector per cylinder and many many other parts that made the bike special from any "standard" 1098/1198. This bike, the R version is also going to be the special homologated version for 2013 superbikes... so expect much more that this short intro describes. |

My KTM came with an umbrella girl and trust me, it was a bad thing. all she wanted to do was stand by the bike holding an umbrella. It really got in the way. I tried to take her to dinner but she wasn't interested. Nice to look at but not worth the trouble. try to trade her in for some CFparts.
