Termi Full Exhaust not installed yet its currently getting ceramic coated satin black finish, my Ohlins Rear Shock TTX Mark 2 DU930 and termi will be installed next week.

Still debating on the front forks whether to go with the OHLINS NIX FGRT 203 Front Forks or install the Ohlins cartridge kit in the Marzocchi 50mm. The Ducati mechanic recommended going with the kit due to the 50mm he believes its better than than 40mm size in which the OHLINS come in. Any suggestions?

Very nice but I'd be scared witless when getting tires changed that they don't take a chunk out of the CF!!!

The brand new forks will be 5k$ whereas the kit is more like 2,5k$

I had the bike for two month and i just got used to it. When I put these wheels on I noticed a huge difference in handling. Big difference between the base wheels and CF. I had to relearn the throttle control and braking again. It dives right into a corner and accelerates really fast. The breaking is unbelievable I had to adjust my breaking time into a corner or even coming to a red light. I would stop way before i was suppose to, sometimes it was embarrasing. The 1199 already felt like a 600cc in terms of handling but with these wheels wow. I've been riding for over 29 years on many makes and models and mod them all but I truly believe this is the best upgrade you can make (Shedding weight) the two biggest weight savings I did is the shorai battery and CF wheels. I hear the termi full will shed even more weight.

Beauty!!! Awesome set up you got there!!!! Go for the Ohlins fork FGRT203...a buddy of mine got the same forks...and it was a dramatic difference from the stock marzocchi forks he had on his base model... Though more expensive...

Dan Kyle has the Ohlins forks for the 1199 for around $2900, I am waiting for a set. Not $5000.

Great to hear how much of an improvement they are over stock. Did you have to change your suspension settings to account for the difference in weight?

I pulled the rubber off the stock turn signal and used a large washer on the nut end of the turn signal to secure it. I flip the rubber around so that most of the rubber is inside of the tail tidy and only a hair is sticking out. Rizoma now has adapters you can buy for the DP tail tidy.

That is what I was told by the Ducati tech because of the 50mm vs the 40 Ohlins.

ScrapperX, it look like you re-used the standard rear sprocket with the BST's?

Unlike JAP bikes.

I'm asking as I will also want to look at BST's in the future, but for now I want to change to a 14T front sprocket...want to know if I need to change to a 520 chain or if the standard rear spocket (525) can be used on the BST's?

I did reuse the original sprocket. I've been considering changing the front sprocket to a 14T also but I wanted to wait for the full termi to see where the power is at before doing so. I've been reading the threads about the full termi but the reviews are all over the map. some people say it helps in the mid, some say it's at top end and some say it increases the whole power band. So I guess I will wait to find out myself. I really think Ducati knew what they were doing interms of where they put the power. Before everyone start screaming at me about the "lack of mid", think about it... this bike is absolutely quick in and out of turns due to its high rev and 600 cc weight and top end speed on a short to mid lenght straight is absolutely perfect for the track. Most mid is needed on the streets which was definitely an after thought for this bike/Ducati. I knew this when I bought the bike. I've been riding sports bikes (just about all of them) for almost 30 years not including dirt bikes since I was 9 yrs old (I'm 46 now) i have never expereinced a bike quite like this one, the power is everywhere you need it on a track. I never owned a Ducati until now but i have rode quite a few of them, it has always been my dream bike and everyone who knows anything about bikes knows that Ducati's are made for the track but as father time catches me, my track days are getting numbered so a 14T would probably be better for me in the streets in Southern California (HWY 33, 166, Angeles Crest and Sunday rides to the Rock Store up Mulholland). I will still do track days as long as my reflexes hold up.
