CaliDuc I am happy for you that you are pleased with your purchase. Your statements are NOT TRUE which ever way you read it. If you chose to ignore the results then that's cool but why do get so aggressive when your happy with what you have! We have purely posted up the results from 5 seperate bikes. We have also shown the pictures of the revised termi full system on the uk race bikes, revised due to the original full system performing so badly compared to stock. The new system is slightly better but still down on power and torque compared to the stock headers. I repeat we are in no way pushing our system or freezing the market as you put it! We are purely suggesting its worth waiting for Akra, Arrow, Leo or AR if you chose to. Just enjoy the bike and buy what you want to buy. |

Bottom line Austin Racing started as offering some independent advice and feedback on the bike and its performance which was valuable but I think they over-stepped the mark and began to bag other competitive products with unverifiable and limited test results. Having seen how varied dyno tests are from machine to machine and dyno to dyno I would feel more comfortable without the sales pitch for rear sets, race tuners and pipes - if AR want to promote their products on this forum they should each some sort of advertising arrangement with the owners fit this forum and at least be overt about promoting their products.

If he is doing anything wrong then I guess you need to get on to the other people on this forum that are also doing self promotion of their products. I believe there is someone doing block off plates with lights and also someone that is doing tail lights that are turn signals. If it was not for this forum where else would we find out about all the problems, options and fixes.

I dont see anything wrong with promoting products in a forum, most people do it one way or another, either the ones they sell or the ones they have bought. It is a great way to know what is out there, and is not like RiCH22 is hiding his identity, judging by his photo...

Thank you guys. People have short memories and forget about the help and advice we Offer with suspension setup and fuelling mods that we gain from working with race teams. We don't charge for that info. You hit the nail on the head. A forum is a place to find out about new products and mods for your bike, group buys with discounts and test results without having to go and buy an expensive magazine! We put up results from the Rapidbike modules as we will with the PCV and Bazzaz once available. We don't manufacture them! Is that so bad. |

I noted that you offered some valuable advice so credit where credit is due. You can promote all you like but when you start bagging the competition then you damage your credibility IMHO. Just my opinion and others can take you at face value if they like, but can't slap me down either!

Rich22 I would not waste my time having an argument with CaliDuc. Just take a look at his posts in the following thread, and you will know right away it is pointless !!! New Map for Termi |

Yes I see. We're not "bagging the competition", we show you truthful dyno results. I doubt that damages our rep. |

Thanks xpercad - and to all - This is so not what this forum is about. It is to share eperiences, ideas, about our beloved Panigales, not bash each other's posts. Everyone gor for a ride today, and in my best Johnny Brasco - forget-about-it! |

You really have 2 choices. 1 is to wait until the aftermarket systems are out or 2 Get the Ducati system and wait until the new upmap is out. I have gone the latter as I believe that Ducati will get it right and then you will possibly have a better system than the aftermarket products. I also have the Rapidbike module to fit and I trust what my Dyno guy says that he will get 190-192hp out of my bike with better fuelling through the midrange. Wallaroo, voice of reason as usual ![]() Personally, I'm holding off. I've got the Ti Slip ons that came with the bike and I'm happy with those, but I'm not investing in any headers untill I see some more choice, be that from Ducati, Austin Racing, Akra or anyone else. BTW Akra will be releasing soon! see the link Ducati 1199 Panigale Gets Akrapovic Exhaust in November - autoevolution For the rest, as usual it seems to be more a case of nuance, or how you interpret certain comments. Caliduc has invested a lot in his bike and obviously knows a thing or 2 about the bike aswell. If I had a set of ceramic coated Termi headers I'd likely be chuffed as hell also and quite happy. Perhaps with the exception of Wallaroo, I think he has invested in more new parts than anyone else so getting his opinion or recommendation for any Pani bit is a great indicator for the rest of us to see if it's any good. Rich22 Does work for Austin Racing but IMHO he has never tried to shove their products down our throats, his posts have simply been factual. I'd go so far as to say his posts are invaluable, due to the fact that he test many different set ups and combinations on the same Dyno. So his results are comparing apples for apples. I don't know Rich and have never bought anything from AR, but I am a supporter/fan of 1 of the race teams he works with. He just strikes me as someone who loves what he does and gets excited about the things he is working on and wants to share that. Some of those things maybe relevant to us, others maybe too racing oriented for those using the bike on the road. So, IMHO both advice is good, don't mistake excitement and pride for pushing a product. Understand that each is person is approaching the bike from a different angle and decide which direction you want your bike to go. To paraphrase Wallaroo, Right now only the Ducati/Termi stuff is available it's not perfect or you have to wait for other stuff, be that AR, Akra or others. The Panigale might be a revolution, but what is happening now is an evolution of testing and parts to incrementally and cumulatively make it better. Like with most bikes the perfect system/parts/combination/ set up will only be known when they are just about to phase the bike out for a new model. |

I kind of really take issue with implicitly being called a Liar. As one can assume you say that by persistently stating what I write is not true, when all I merely doing is holding you to account. You ignore the fact that I consistently write and acknowledge that you provide figures, I value them when they are independently verified .. whats wrong with that huh ? Answer these simple questions : - Have I not provided fact that you are and continue to push your own system. Fact : I quote you. - Where is your evidence of independent third party analysis of your results ? Fact : You have not offered any independent third party analysis, you provide your dyno figures, which is NOT independently third party analysis. - Do you have a shipping system ? Fact : No. I have no reason to lie about anything AUSTIN RACING. Your the vendor and I am a consumer. You are best placed to get your system out the door and on the market. I respond in the way that I do as I do not like getting slapped down by a Vendor, especially when they act the way AUSTIN RACING acts. Dyno results help, however independent third party analysis of an vendor facts and figures is way more valuable, obviously AUSTIN RACING ... don't get it. I post the pictures of my machine as I am an early adopter, sometimes that is good and sometimes it is bad, however I am independent. Sure, I stand up for myself .. just like many would. Some people spend way too much time on this forum, and take it way too serious. Just sayin... If I wanted to watch a soap opera, I would tune into... wait, I don't even know where I would go to see this! Anyone ever heard of sticks and stones! Lets' just have fun!

I am very keen to see the fruits of Wallaroo's work. Be clear about what I am writing .. as AUSTIN RACING continues to miss-represent what I write which for me is a shame as they are really not handling this exchange well at all. If I was AUSTIN RACING I would ship a product first and get independent reviews, kind of what Termi' did and the other exhaust manufacturers will do, they just have no class in their approach of trying to take on an independent consumer. They crossed the line they know it, I know it and we all know it. Last edited by CaliDuc; October 8th, 2012 at 08:34 PM. | |
