Engineered specifically for World Superbike competition, the race bike sports full carbon fiber body work and an aluminum fuel tank. The suspension components are also different than stock with the addition of a gas-charged Ohlins fork. The front brakes, including the rotors and master cylinder, are also different as compared to both the standard and up-spec ‘S’ production bikes. Also of note is the fitment of billet aluminum foot controls and a full Termignoni race pipe as tested in the 2012 Ducati 1199 Panigale S Track Comparison. No word on the state of engine tune but expect a significant power upgrade over stock. Pricing and availability has yet to be announced"

So the outside of the cans looks the same, surely there is someway to get the standard Termi cans to sound better but still have the option of the db inserts. Best of both?

i thought the panigale is a generation equipped with the Superquadro instead of testastretta Evoluzione. Is checa's specific Pani still equipped with the Evoluzione??? .....strange... |

Thanks, don't they have to sell enough of these bikes to qualify to use it as a race bike like the HP4 or is it enough that it still qualifies as a Pani?

Never mind. I guess I was referring to the R - with the aluminum colored gas tank. That will be coming to the public?

If the RS13 were available, you could probably get several R's for the price of an RS13. The 1199R hasn't been confirmed by them, but its kind of widely known that it will be coming out. Most people are guessing around mid to 3q next year.
