Deer attacks panigale, here's #2 ;-)

Well this what it look like when you hit a deer with your Pani, I should get some Angel Wings tatted. 10/5/12 Will explain more after insurance settles, just wanna share pics IMAG0773.jpg both handle bars ripped off, pretty much all the head fairing IMAG0771.jpg most damage on the left side, but every fairing got touched...including the beautiful tank IMAG0776.jpg IMAG0779.jpg DP Carbon clutch cover did its job !! (for all who are considering buying), 1st thing I bought for Pani #2 :-) IMAG0781.jpg Subframe held up better than expected, but then you never know how hard it hit. Had to pry the tool bag out lol. Everthing you see missing is in bits and peices IMAG0793.jpg the whole RH rearset broke off and under, PUNCTURING THE STATOR CASE !! luckily not my chest IMAG0794.jpg hole on stator case and damage to pipe IMAG0802.jpg couldn't bother to wait for insurance to finalize claim and pay off bike, I went and got another today with even better interest than Ducati is now offering...woulda just waited on a 2013, but i've done enough waiting on Ducati this yr already lol. Not feeling that Artic white for next yr either, i would love that grey paint scheme on TB test Pani....they will offer it by late next yr I think.

Thanks guys, I did luck out. Had my Alpinestars SMX boots on but must have hit my heel pretty good, limping all week and still a lil sore. Had a kink in my neck which I stretched/ worked out. Initial impact with ground was my right knee I think. It was a lil bruised and swollen.

Considering how ugly the bike looks and how much I tumbled I'm happy I walked away from it. Woulda been cool to have gotten it on GoPro...was making vids the day before :-).

Wow that's a lot of damage!! That's not from hitting the deer but from the tumble after right? Regardless, glad you're ok.

yeah, the deer impact was on the left actually then sustained most damage from tumple...I landed much farther than the bike, rememeber tumbling with absolutely no control or sense of direction, up or down lol.

happened so fast, rather not say how fast I was going. Someone was watching over me...

WOW!!! Deer can be very dangerous this time of year. You are a very lucky person to come out unscathed.

Moving to Charleston SC here in a few weeks, hopefully no deer there lol ...not so great back roads tho.

Many years ago I hit a deer in a 944 Porsche. When I went to the shop to check on it, they said "here comes the deer hunter"! Took forever to get the smell out of the engine compartment... I can't imagine the same on a bike!

yeah, hit a deer in a brand new Mustang 10 yrs ago...amazing the damage it did then. Guy driving by had to cut its neck.

This time, after I got up..oil gushing out the stator case as I turn the engine off...no deer to be seen, I know he hurting tho lol
