Perhaps your bike is not in the recall serial number range?

Need a copy asap! Please blank out name/address/bike details etc - and post scanned copy on here please.

Phoned Ducati Uk, two weeks ago, they took my details...and no reply as yet- shockingly back service from the importer!!

Getting very frustrated here, with sh*t Ducati customer service experience here.

The bike is in within the recall campaign, under its serial number.

Hi Guys- quick update...

Dealing with Ducati Uk Customer Services very painful so far. Ducati are claiming the recall for the swingarm bolt issue, was not until the 9th Oct 2012 - my incident happened on the 3rd Oct.

Did anyone recieve their recall letter before the 3rd Oct? Ductai trying to say - sorry it happened before the official recall!? Problem is the dealer who took delivery of the bike on the 3rd Oct - told me there was a recall out for this issue...

Was riding my 1199 back from Northern Ireland to London. I was about sixty miles from London on the M40, on the outside lane @ around 80mph when massive chatter starting to come from the rear of the bike. It was like sitting on a jack hammer - it was unreal!

Pulled in at next petrol station and noticed the rear tyre was very marked up...mmm, thought that was unusual to say the least.

Then i seen this sticking out the side of the bike...

Now im thinking - was the swingarm about to fall out of the back of my bike @ a very busy time on the M40 on the outside lane!?

BTW the only thing which is holding this bolt in, was the fairing - which was cracked from the pressure.

Im i wrong in thinking that this bolt hold both the swingarm and footrest assembly all together?

Getting a feeling that no one wants to talk about this issue or what could of happened. All i have heard, is the parts are ordered, bike will be fixed...
