Thumbs up 1st service done, wow !

At first I was kinda disappointed of the non existent bottom end and keeping under 7k (was truly difficult) but after the awesome service dept @ pro Italia they informed me that there's a new map they needed to load. My first ride experience : wow this thing is a rocketship. Mind you I'm only 148 lbs. the idle is smoother , no more stalls , and the power is just incredible.

Just thought I'd share

After my first oil change, the bike is much smoother, seems to have more power, and the heat went way down. I think it has to do with the rings are finally settling down. The more miles I put on it the better the bike gets.

New map? Do you have a full Termi? I thought the new map was only for guys running the full system. I did my first service myself and have been stocking-up on the recall notices untill something really important shows up, since the closest Ducati dealership is over 2hrs away. Maybe it's time for me to take the Pani in.

Yeah they did mention that rings will settle and will feel a smooth power increase. I love it, but the heat is still there lurking. Who cares winters coming anyways factory seat warmers.

No sir, stock exhaust. I believe it's what they call a bst map that Ducati put out to knock out some of the fuel mixture problems that caused the infamous stalling issue. Bring it in bud it's free for that Map and you will be glad you rode those 2hrs I guarantee it. But call them 1st and give them your vin. They will check your current software and see if you need that new map.

Ill call them tomorrow and ask for the correct name bud. They referred to as a recal that my bike needed bsp or bst map. when I first rode it was just smooth and a slight power increase was noticeable. Put it race mode and wow my arms were going to come off lol sorry that's the best I can describe it. Please don't take my word for it but I'm sure Pro Italia in SoCal can attest to this matter.

i did have a new map as well, stock exhaust. i didnt know they put in the new map, and on my way back from the dealer,i noticed the smoother throttle (i always leave the bike in race mode, so dont know if this is the same on other modes), not sure about the increased power as i cant feel it, never ride the bike slow enough to feel the heat either haha. called them up when i get home and they confirmed that there was a map update.

That's maybe cause your map is current. When did you purchase your bike ? Bought my pani about 2 weeks ago. So it's one of the last shipments.

Haha right on man, lets ride sometime brotha

And also did you nice that the throttle is more even ? I mean like when I'm cruising 4th gear around 55mph I would feel that it would buck a little. Like hiccups. Now it's solid. Bro put it on Race mode and gun it. Makes me wonder why I could keep it under 7k this whole time lol

I just did my 1st service also, put the Termi Slip-ons on with the Up Map and man, it's a new bike - loving the revs!

Gotta say though, first gear tootling around town is a PITA. It's like riding a bucking horse through the school zones!!

Wind a bit of throttle on and it's creamy revving goodness.

... and that quickshifter... with the "pop" on the up shift... man!!
