Marzocchi fork springs

Does anyone know where I can get heavier springs for the Standard Marzocchi forks?

I enquired with Racetech and never got an answer.

in any case, I've decided on Bitubo. It should be out by the end of november.

Yeah, I've found Racetech difficult to get a hold of at times... I have a call / email into them for springs for my 2012 Multi and haven't heard back either.

Dunno if they're the same but I have Marzocchis on my MV Agusta. I was told by a RaceTec service tech that they share the same springs as the Honda 954's - which opens up a whole heap more options (rates). I've not tried them myself (yet) but it may be worth looking into.

jus' sayin'

BTW - NA Marzocchi distrubutor is right next to my house and they were freakin' useless as an information source. Here's the website of the guy I spoke to - he was super helpful and readily gave information Teknik Racing

Interesting note on the 954 springs; thanks. The MV and Pani internals are different, as I'm pretty sure the Pani is the first to use the pressurized gas cartridges. The RAC50L also comes with normal cartridges, which is all they show parts and rebuild instructions for in their online manuals. The preload arrangement's different as well, though the springs look like they might be the same (they do use a top-out spring BTW).

FWIW, the aftermarket RAC50L comes standard with 10N/mm springs and Marzocchi have part numbers for five different rates from 9N/mm to 11N/mm in .5N/mm steps (basically divide by 10 to get kg/mm). The 1098 and 1198 came with 1kg/mm springs stock, so I'm guessing the 1199 likely does too. Using the 1098 as a base and a semi-wet weight of 390lbs, Racetech's pointing me towards .9kg/mm springs at 155 without gear; less for street and more for track, so a good middle ground.

+1 KFG/GP suspension all day. I'm doing R&D with them now...I have their first set of cartridges in mine. Huuuuge improvement over stock.
