Sorry...more "R" questions

1. When are official pics released?
2. Is it really going to be ~$30K vs the $40K they usually run?
3. Tell me that pic of the bike with the red fairing and aluminum tank unpainted is not the color scheme. I am all for an unpainted tank like on the Corse SE 1198, but so help me if they combine that with all red fairings I might vomit.

I hope waiting is worth it. Some good deals on used tricolore's right now

I Ride: 1199 Panigale R, BMW SKRR
this is the only answer I can find

2013 Ducati 1199 Panigale R Coming Soon

I think 30,000$ price range would be right since it is not very much different from the tricolore aside from the full exhaust and some titanium internals. the 1199s is already so good that maybe Ducati can not justify a big price jump to 40k nor can they add huge power performance gains over the regular ones.

We can only make assumptions, one thing is for sure, the price wont be close to other bikes, probably like 30% more than Tricolore. Same like 1098Tri and 1098R

No one has seen pictures from the bike yet.

I have an R related question....if the Tri comes with electronically adjustable Ohlins suspension then what on earth will the R have to better that? (Other than full kevlar panels, ti con rods, an alu tank and carbon rims)

Electronically adjustable suspension isn't any better, its just more convenient, so maybe no place on the R model.

Now, if it was active, that would be another story

I don't think the R has DES and my dealer says 30k is correct as he has ordered one.

i'm guessing besides a termi race exhaust, Ti rods, +5 or so hp, carbon fiber bodywork, and various carbon fiber bits as standard, it'll have $$$ gas charged front forks and forged lighter wheels in a different pattern.

with a tricolore priced at $28,000, i must respectfully disagree that an 1199R will cost only $2,000 more at $30,000. that would not make any marketing sense. the last couple of R models were $40,000, so it's equally hard to imagine that the 1199R would suddenly drop to $30,000.

i hope i'm completely wrong and that what your dealer said is true--$30,000 for the latest R would make us all happier than $40,000, but i don't think i'm wrong

It will be around 40. Here in The Netherlands an S ABS is € 27.790 and a tricolore €32.490. The R will be € 45K.

No way will the R be 30k. I agree the new R will be in the 45k range if not 50k.
