Nooo!! Nail in the rear tire

Today, was the first day I didn't ride the pani, come home and find the rear tire flat, nail in it. Sucks, still had a couple k miles left in it I know. Good thing is I had a set on the wall ready to go. So changed out the rear and ready to roll.

I know that feeling... believe me we've all been there before, usually at the worst possible moment.
At least you where home and had another set ready to go, now go scuff in some new tires!

Oh man, that's sucks. But at least you weren't on the road when it happened or suffered any damage. I've been hearing of almost unimaginable repair bills for what I would consider relatively minor crashes on the 1199. I'm used to fixing japanese sport bikes for a few hundred dollars.

At least you had an extra set ready to go so no downtime but yeah, that definitely sucks. I know it's not much consolation, but it could always be worse... better to discover it at home instead of it happening while you're out riding.

Which tires are you running on your 1199?

I got a set of super corsas from revzilla. These are the SPs that don't have the "supercorsa wording on the edge of the tread surface, they're apparently slightly different from the oem tires.

Glad I got em, as they're apparently out of stock right now.

Got "nailed" with just 1000 miles on first tire. Called up local Ducati dealer and $338 for new one plus fitting. Are you sure? That's insane price! To the website but Revzilla and Sportbike track gear both out of stock. Motorcycle superstore saved the day at $248!!!

Yup same thing happened to me SOLD OUT everywhere my guy tried. So I told him to plug it and I will think of what next tire I should get. Any suggestions?
