Been getting mpg in the mid to high 20s, and far fewer than 100 miles before the fuel light (fool light?) comes on. Remember when Ducati sportbikes used to get way better MPG than the Jap fours? Sigh. Still . . . it's worth it. |

You must be ringing it's neck? LOL I consistently get 30+ mpg and don't see the fuel light until north of 100 miles. However, most of my riding at the moment is highway so..... |

111 miles then fuel light kicks on like clock work. 34 MPG average per avg fuel consump on the dash with hard canyon riding. Assuming 4.5 gallon tank - 1.3 reserve = 3.2 gallons before light comes on when full? 111 miles/3.2gal =34.68 mpg yep matches my dash. bravo Ducati The most I got was 42 mpg average doing a constant 75 mph on the freeway without opening the throttle up. It was very hard not to open it up |

I got about 120 miles in on Sunday before my light came on but I was cruising at an even 80 the entire way.

Just checked mine...8.3l/100km average over 7200 km (28mpg) Most modern cars do better than that. Then again ; who cares, didn't buy that bike to save on gas. |

Does anyone know where I can get one of those 5.5 gallon tanks they use on the SBK bikes?

i have never had the light come on past 100 miles, but i also commute with mine when i am in the canyons and so forth i can get better MPG than i do going to work in traffic. but Im ok with it too, its way too fun to worry about an extra 10miles per tank |

I used to get about 37 MPG on my Monster S4R, and I'm getting about 27 on my Panigale. Thing is, my Monster was content to cruise along, while my Panigale always begs to be spanked. Since a Ninja 250 isn't an option . . . I guess I'm paying for the gas. |

The smile this thing puts on my face every time I slap the throttle... Or the amazing brakes, for that matter... Makes sub 30 mpg totally worth it. Hitting 90 mph on my 6 mile morning commute on LA's 405 is worth a lot of money. And roads around Mulholland make this price of admission to the world's best theme park even more worthwhile. Fuck the gas mileage! |

I was able to obtain 33 MPG the other day, riding like I was hungover. Not worth it. So much better riding like I'm angry with the world. |

I'm averaging 22mpg. Does this sound excessive to everyone? This is from normal day to day commuting. Not hwy miles.. Its not the financial that worries me. Just that I plan to do a decent road trip shortly where petrol stations are few and far between. Last thing I want is to be stranded on the side of a freeway because I ran out of fuel. |

I'm coming to believe that it's all in the wrist. Last tank, I got only 25 MPG, because I was fooling around, riding with my buddy on his Triumph. Current tank, closer to 30 MPG, but still in the 20s. It's still worth it. |

This thread has just worried me! Done 3200 miles and averaging 22.1 mpg ![]() Compare this to my Tundra at 18 mpg and my Triumph Tiger 800 which is only used for freeway commuting and after 5000 miles averaging 40 mpg. And I don't think I ride the Duc that hard |
