but Xbox you did change the mapping?

normally you would expect the bike to become more smoother in the lower revs with the termi's

if correct you should have more power.. let's hope so :P haha.

i have only heard the sound of the bike with stock pipes ( wich was pretty damn loud for stock)

can't wait for mine with the termi's as wel.

have you also changed the mapping for the termi's?
Yup, installed the "Racing" map.

The stock pipes did quieten down after 200km's, so another reason I changed.

Would you believe the stock item weighed 6.9kg, while the Termi's were 2.5kg each. All in, a net weight saving of just over 2kg, just like DMH says

Not necessarily - torque between idle (1500rpm) and 2500/3000rpm, usually takes a dive with a more free flowing system.

I think its due to reduced back pressure, also in this case the butterfly is gone.

Obviously it will be more powerful, just not around low-rpm, which is where I am for running in.

OK - back on my original thought - I just got in from a 30 mile ride. Right at the end of it, I was able to replicate the loss of sound. It was happening at about 4500 rpms in 2nd gear on a steady throttle. Only issue now is, when I kept the throttle in the exact position where the sound cut off, I started to feel the engine dying. So, naturally I start opening the throttle a bit to bring it back up. Only, the engine didn't respond at all. Opened the throttle a good amount, but nothing, quiet and started to feel the engine losing power. Only solution was to pull the clutch. At that point, I felt the engine come back. Was able to replicate this three different times on the same ride.
Adding to this post a bit. The throttle seemed inconsistent throughout the ride. At other points as I was pulling the clutch, rpma seemed to dip a bit. Once it almost stalled out. I'm not sure this is a valve issue. It's almost like something is cutting the engine off at times. I'm a little concerned. Going to call the dealer tomorrow.

@Castle1199 - did you call your dealer about this and what did they say? Experienced similar myself and at the moment I suspect the exhaust valve as others on this forum have stated too.

Be interested to hear your dealer's response though...

Quick update. I was planning on having the slip ons installed at the first service anyway, which I did. 100% solved the issue. My guess was the exhaust valve was closing up at those rpms. The dealer had mentioned that they knew about the issue too. I didn't pursue it much further because I was always planning on getting the termi's..
