Upon conducting any of the Dyno runs did anybody have the rear wheel sensor removed prior to the run being carried out??? Even though the primary use for the sensor is for the traction control it is also used by the computer to adjust the fuelling based on air intake pressure which is why when we were testing our demo ready for race prep ducati told us to remove the sensor prior to the run as the results we had so far were 175-185bhp with alot of flames from the exhaust and the fueling at top end not quite right. We are running a standard ABS model this afternoon with the sensor removed i will endevour to get the results up, its been run in and currently at 1124 miles on the clock |

I'm very very sceptical of the figures Ducati have produced. My old R1 would hit 180 plus on the mountain mile, with more weight and less power. Couldn't get the Panigale past 175, it struggled to match the 4's in a straight line. Aerodynamics might play a part but for me the bike doesn't have anywhere near the power claimed. A friend recently took his to the Autobahn along with an 2010 R1, the Yamaha pulverised it. It's the one area of the bike I'm disappointed with. |

does anyone have instructions on how to disconnect the rear wheel speed sensor or where the connector is located on the bike?

SPJ, I was able to get my Panigale to 188mph in 9/10's of a mile here in Tennessee on a deserted piece of straight road. My bike only Has slip-ons and up-map installed in it. I had a built 09 R1 with piper cams and ported head and race velocity stacks and that bike could only muster 190 mph in the same distance, that bike was slow stock could do maybe 170. If I buy the rapid bike or tune boy for the Panigale and get it tuned in I know this bike would be easily capable of going over 190 mph. All speeds were measured with a gps |

Thanks, interesting to know. My R1 had PCV and Akra slip ons, Panigale has Termi slip ons and up map. I'm fairly unaerodynamic, probably fitted in behind the fairing better on the Yam! Speedo's could be a bit different too. Now have the Rapidbike, will be interested to see what it's like when the weather improves.

185hp at the wheels and you are still disapointed? you are very hard to please my friend. with that much power you can pretty much pull your hands off when you fully open the throttle. the Initail Panigale's pulled around 168-175whp, so your 185hp is really a good number. |

I have a 1199 Tricolore. It has the termi slip on mufflers but not the full system. Does anyone have the dyno numbers for adding the full termi exhaust with 70mm tubes to the slip on mufflers? Is it worth the price of adding the race exhasut at @ $1,800 or is the perfomance improvement negligible?

None of us will ever use the HP the 1199 is capable of - coming out from an apex….. (Wait, Rossi… you watching this?) He's excluded. George Villar |

I pulled on every other 1000cc at the track yesterday in the straights. R1s couldn't keep up in the straights. Maybe its a weight issue as riders can vary all over the place. I'm 6' 175lbs.
