Anyone found a good spot for the tax disc/holder? The dealer didn't have the tax disc when I collect the bike but it's now turned up in the post but I can't find a good spot to bolt it on! Wondering about just keeping the disc in my wallet, but I know thats illegal. |

My dealer has placed it on the underside of the rear seat cowl/subframe (opposite side to the seat lock). Although it doesn't conform to the strict letter of the law, it doesn't spoil the lines of the bike or look as ugly as tax discs usually do. Don't know what others think... |

Jonah That's the same place as mine, except that they have it parallel to the seat unit - it isn't visible from the side at all (so you have to bend down to see it). I'll try and post a pic tomorrow. |

Mine was bolted to the bottom fairing bolt on the left (shock) side of the bike when I took delivery. The holder is now in the bin and the disk in my wallet. It's all on computer now anyway and if I get tugged for it I simply explain I put it in my wallet because they keep getting stolen as apparently there is a lot of thieves around because the police are too busy checking f'king tax disks. It always seems to go down well! Its right up there with "my tax pays your wages" ![]() My book "101 things not to say to policemen" is in the shops Monday. |

Cheers for the advice mat, think I'll risk it and keep fingers crossed- you can't put anywhere in the legal zone anyway.

So there's no risk, as long as you've paid your tax, hence how you can do that online and can take up to 5 days to arrive, they wouldn't do that if was such a problem.

BTW nice to get some sensible replies and, posted the same question on a UK forum and got a load of abuse which seemed a bit uncalled! | |

Bolted mine into one of the footpeg holes, sits flush up under the tail. Provided you can prove you have tax I'm sure it's not a problem. |
