AGV Pista GP Helmet

Has anyone heard when this helmet will be available and price?

Maybe its just me but all the people who put a deposit down on this helmet, does it bug you that you will have a big number 46 on there? IMHO it just became dated. My local ducati dealer is doing 50percent off all 46 clothing.

are you sure you want the pista gp? the helmet looks great but i wouldn't get a helmet with that rossi mumbo jumbo on it or any rider for that matter. regardless of the graphics it is not an everyday helmet and it will be above 1200. I suggest you look at the revzilla review of this item. I suggest the pista corsa. thats the street version and has working vents. Black looks amazing its pictured below

There is a distinction. There is a high likelihood that Rossi will still be 46 with Yamaha. He was 46 when he was there before, at Ducati and my guess is he stays with it. Your dealer is more than likely discounting the Ducati 46 clothing, but not necessarily the Dainese or AGV 46 merchandise. Not saying its not happening, but most places are discounting the Ducati - Rossi relationship and not Rossi himself. .. Because Rossi will still be with AGV/Dainese after leaving Ducati and joining Yamaha.

That being said - I don't like VR46 anyhow or would want it. Just that there is a difference between the two. This AGV 46 helmet has nothing to do with Ducati but with Rossi and his helmets. Just like his other crazy helmets (Eyeball, Donkey, Chicken, Winter Test, Continents, etc) have nothing to do with Ducati but are AGV Rossi.

ok so when you wear the helmet there is no connection with ducati...well until you get on your bike. just seems not as great as when he was on the team you are riding on.
I love the guy but do I want him to have grest success against ducati? no not really.

sort of. .. but the majority of Ducati riders out there are /not/ wearing Rossi/Hayden helmets nor Ducati helmets. .. I don't think anyone thinks you're riding a Ducati and you have to wear either Ducati/Rossi/Hayden gear/helmet/gloves/etc (don't think Hayden even has gear outside of gloves/helmet).

there should be a video review of it by Revzila or something -AGV bough one over for them at the Laguna or Indy race.

The latest info on the Pista is that it will only get DOT approval for 2014. NOt sure if it will be available in Europe before that but my guess is that it might but, only towards mid- or late-summer.

Just my 2 pennies, but I have always worn Rossi's helmet and Jacket. Ive worn them while on a Aprilia, GSXR, CBR 1000rr, 999, and now the 1199. Its not a connection between Ducati and Rossi....im just a Rossi fan....and I enjoy the funny looks I get when im as bright as the sun.

Feb/March 2013 for Europe approx price Euro 1,200 - ish (info source : Dainese)

No published/guidance release date for USA

Not sure if its a limited run of 100 or 100 per design.
