Yes - will be at Donnington on the 31st.

130 miles today with the BMC filter - Hard to tell from road riding, though it does "feel" better at road speeds and lower/mid revs. I didn't notice the same bogging around 7k, though will need to wait till I hit the track or Dyno to see for sure.

Big questions -
Was it work the time to fit - yes, time spent working on my bike is never a waste.

Was it worth the 61 Euros plus shipping? - Yes, I would say so. I've spent a lot more on a lot less...

Also backed up by the Ducati road race team who are going back to standard headers with slip on cans.
Akra have also given a set of test headers to a few race teams, they are a very different design to the Termi headers.

The thread is not out to dis a manufacturer in any way but simply to show some test results which i'm sure you are all interested in. If your happy with your system's then that's all good.
Rich, that's fine I can only state it as it feels on the bike and the bike feels much better to me with the full system on. Maybe as I'm not hanging around the 11.5k mark much on the road maybe I don't notice the lack in comparison with the stock headers but lower down it is much better.

In my mind it's simple, if I buy something which is advertised to give me 5% more power and I get 5% less ill be asking Ducati to replace it and also to repay the dealers fitting costs too or fit a suitable replacement for free.

So if we have any real proof coming out of Termi or Ducati, ie this down on paper then I'm all ears.

Meanwhile the bike feels great on the road, no flat spots what so ever.

I'll be keeping a keen eye on this thread for developments I can tell you.

Any updates on the "Race" team Termi headers? I just got a Tri and I'm leaving the stock exhaust on for break in, but need some more info before I put on the Full-system, I ordered.

Thanks-BigBoost

Still nothing positive to report on the Termi headers.

Rich, the low and mid range gains look impressive. Have you been out on the road or track with your slip-on prototype? If so, how do they feel? The flat spot where the valve closes and lumpy fuelling below 5k need to be fixed in whatever system I buy. Neither of these are a problem on track, but they're an annoyance on the road. The valve caught me out the other day while peforming a tight overtake - pulled out, rolled on and nothing. It refused to pick up until I selected a different cog. I think you also said you would supply db killers. How much do you loose with them fitted and whats the db level with them in? The e mark on the loud stock exhaust is a free get out of jail card and theres no point in fitting an after market sysrem if the volume gets the attention from the local rozzers and a subsequent enfocement notice to remove it.

Taking my bike in next week for the 600 mile break-in, so the ruling is to NOT put on the Termi headers...

An other feedback?

Yes, there's no wheelie control....just in case you hadn't figured that out yet

From every test we have run including mapping with the rapidbike we certainly do not recommend the termi system.

after reading the 10 pages best thing i can do right now with my bike (which is on order with Termi cans) should be

1: Get dealer to fit the cans and use the up map
2: Source an air filter (BMC?)

and i should be good right?

Yes just use the slip ons. The up map is not good but use it if you feel happier with it.
Best solution is the rapid bike fuelling modules we have. Same as any other bike it sorts the fuelling problems out and optimises for the exhausts.
We spent 2 days mapping for the slip on termi system.

What sort of gains are to be had with the fueling modules?

With the race module we are seeing gains of around 10bhp from standard. It also allows the fuel and ignition mapping to be smoothed out at low end running.

Quite a big gain, when you say 10hp from standard, is that completely standard or is that after slip ons and filter are added?
Also you quote it as a race module, what's it like for street use, cost?

That is the gain from stock. Gains over just the Termi slip ons are around 5bhp but also a large torque gain in the midrange in particular. The units are called Race as that includes ignition mapping and Evo just fuel mapping. Both for road or track.
Prices

Race £620
Evo £380

Interesting although it's hard to see an actual 'gain' as you didn't do a run with the Termi slips and up map loaded.

How does your fueling module work, via USB or some sort of piggy back?

It is a piggy back system. Please go to the thread for full info: http://ducati1199.com/ducati-1199/17...now-stock.html
