Rich, you said the numbers were BHP not wheel HP in your post? Also, why such a large difference in HP numbers between 2 Panigales? I'm curious as to what the break in was like for each.

Sorry George
Just saw your post. I do not know about the details of what is in the ss kit. I just met the owner of the dealership and he told me about the dyno ressults they got with the ss kit on his race bike.

I have no reason to disbelieve him. I think the ss kit costs in the order of $30K AUD.

The figures are rear wheel genuine BHP figures. Each bike will vary slightly.

Can you provide more specifics on exactly how these are fitted up to the bike? Where do the plug in to the factory harness, etc.?

It is a very simple install.
Every connection is a plug with no splicing. The injectors are connected by way of a large single connector. Full instructions supplied with unit along with map of your choice.

Hi Rich,
Does fitting the Rapid Bike module affect the manufacturers warranty?

That is dependant on your dealer relationship.

I would always suggest that if your bike develops a fault to de install the Rapidbike along with any other after market parts prior to visiting your dealer. They will usually try to put blame on the after market parts to try and avoid warranty expense.

I just installed one that I bought from Rich so I will inject my 2cents.

Everything was fairly straight forward other than the giant connector to the air box. I have an S w ABS. The connector coming from the rapidbike harness is large and there are two of them. Because of the abs module, it is an extremely tight fit. First attempt caused the fairing not to fit so I had to go back in and reposition.

The instructions are poor so it took a bit of time to figure out a clean way to run the harness since it has to pass around the front of the motor.

I have no idea how to check the maps because there are no instructions for doing so and it doesn't come with a software cd. I had Rich load the map they have been working on and am keeping my fingers crossed that is the one selected.

@rich, I tried downloading the software from rapidbike but the serial number of the unit was not in the database. I will email you info.

Overall the fit was good. It took me about 3 hours because I was looking for perfection. Hopefully the place I actually put the module will suffice. You cannot see the install with all the plastic on. A non-abs would be a much easier fit.

I will post back ass-dyno impressions after the weekend.

The software is in the unit, simply plug it into your pc and its ready to go.
I have a new Full system map for you.
With the install we have done so many we take 2 hours. The unit should be at left of bike behind bellypan, cable tie in place.

That is where I ended up putting it. It is pretty clean when everything is mounted. It would be great if you could document the install with pictures and link to it on your site for others. The instructions that are shipped with the unit are hard to follow.

Rich,
One more clarifying question: The dyno results shown are with the termi slip on, the up map installed, and the racing module on top of that? Or is the up map not downloaded with the termi installation?

Here are the latest 2 bikes:
Both are Termi full systems with the up map. I would prefer to map without the upmap loaded but the map stick was not available to de install it. Both bikes show a very impressive power and torque increase. Look at the torque from 5500rpm up, the curve is so much better, not as good as a mapped set of stock headers but still a great improvement.

[QUOTE=Vicious;31627]This is nearly as painful as waiting for the bike to come!!! I can't wait til my pani sounds as good as my 1098!![/QUOTE

I have just had a full termi system fitted and it does not seem to be as loud as my 1098 or my 1198SP.

This maybe because the other bikes had open clutch covers to which contributed to the glorious symphony but because the Pani is a wet clutch it obviously not possible to do this. Let me know if you agree.

Both bikes are fitted with Full Termi's and the up map and then we fitted the rapidbike and mapped it.

The very best combination is the stock headers, slip ons, no upmap, rapidbike mapped.

You must be sick of typing that. I am sure I have read that a few times.

Rich you are very patient. good luck with your development on your systems.
