Ok.. I am clear now and forgive my confusion... My only questions are... is the RapidBike plug and play?? and is it relatively easy to install??? i.e. Remove fairing and plug in etc???

Very much so plug and play. The install is fairly simple.
We can also provide the dyno software if you want to custom map with your local tuner for a very resonanle cost.

Map you install for termi slips seems pretty sweet already

That first graph for the full Termi system is my bike. As you can see, with the up map the bike makes low power and the fueling was all over the place.

If you have the full system fitted and do not want to/can not be bothered to go back to stock headers then remove the up map, its useless, however you really want the Rapidbike. If you want the best spread of power available at the moment then use the slip ons with the Rapidbike.

My bike has had the Termi headers ceramic coated and as you can see, now its mapped it made 187bhp at the rear. That i'm happy with although it is down on torque in the midrange compared with the slip ons but for power bragging rights its pretty good

Fit the Rapidbike and sort out your bike properly. I haven't ridden her yet but can't wait, I was present for the base runs though with the up map.

Can someone who has fitted one post back with actual riding experience, it's all well and good to look at graphs but I'd like to hear someone come back and say it's been a huge improvement on the road before committing.

Rich - I see you have 2 units advertised on the website, the Evo (fuelling only) and Race (fuelling and ignition). How much of a difference is there between the 2 units?

On the bikes we have fitted so far the customers are all very happy with them. The feedback is that the bike is now way more responsive with a much smoother throttle response. The power is up considerably from before the fit. 3 of the customers do many track days and have commented that they can now power past other panigalis with ease and live with the bmw's on track. Unfortunately not all of our customers are members of this forum to feedback for you.
All bike's so far have been fitted with race units which allowed us to map fuelling and ignition. Not yet fitted a fuelling only unit to a panigale. Fuelling only evo unit will still do a great job but never quite as good as the race unit.

I have ridden the bikes before and after and the difference is chalk and cheese.

1 customer commented that the bike now lifts the wheel with ease in 2nd just on the power and holds it through 3rd with ease.

Rich - I think I asked this before. How does this compare to PC 5, and as (if) Ducati provides upmap updates, will Rapidbike need to be updated as it is an add on, not a replacement?

What is the disadvantage to the race (ignition) version, other than cost/isnatll time?

Thanks in advance, I know I need this, just want all the details!

The pcv is not yet available.
The rapid bike has many actions all within the 1 single unit which is an advantage.
The Upmaps will never compete with custom mapping, any updated fuelling Upmaps can be loaded if wished but you will possibly need to re tweak the rapid bike. The rapid bike can do this on adaptive mapping wihin the unit so no re map will be required. Simply turn on the adaptive mapping option and set the parameters as you wish to tweak a certain given rev range.
The race unit costs more but is superior. Install is exactly the same as evo unit.

All good. Right now I am sock, but when I add a pipe (whoever's), how will my Rapid Bike get readjusted to compensate?

We have maps for every option and will have new maps as new systems appear.

What I figured. So once I purchase it, I will always be able to get the new maps for a pipe, or improved versions of mine, for free forever, or a warranty period?

Ok, figured I would post this here in case anyone else is having issues with the rapidbike module.

I have around 1500 mile with the rapidbike race module on my S ABS.

First, I have been unable to hook it up to a computer to check and see if the correct map is the one being used. Rich installed a termi slipon map before he shipped it and want to make sure it is the one actually being used. I was told to just plug it into a computer and it should mount as a hard drive with the software on it... No such luck. Ideas?

I have an issue that never happened with the termi upmap which is when hard on the gas coming out of a corner, it falls on its face before it actually takes off. It doesn't happen all the time but probably a few times in a days ride. At first I thought it was the traction control kicking in but am seeing no light come on and it feels like a fuel issue.

Overall the rapidbike feels like it smooths out the power and makes the bike feel snappier. I would be much happier if I could sort the above problems.

Thanks for any help.

I've also just fitted the Rapidbike. Like you I was unable to get the software from the unit itself, I did however manage to download it fairly easily from the Dimsport website, you need the model number on the actual unit and an email address.

What is clear initially is that the software is pretty complex and I would suggest way ahead of Power Commander. WRT the correct map being loaded I agree with you, there is a map loaded but as it isn't labelled for a specific configuration then you have to hope it's the correct one. If your configuration is the same as mine (stock headers with Termi slip ons) then you need to remove the racing up map from the ECU and put it back to stock, possibly what's causing the issue described.

Yet to fire mine up due to the weather, hoping to get out on it later today...

Good to here that you were able to access the software. I originally tried to download the software from the Dimsport website but it told me it had no record of the serial number of my unit. I emailed Rich and was told it was in the unit itself and just plug it in. Either way I can't get my hands on the software.

I did unload the termi upmap before I ran the rapidbike module. I would be interested to hear your experience when you get a chance to ride it.
