This is a very rough sneak preview of 1of the ideas we are working on. We have a selection of outlet ideas we are testing. We are working on extensive dyno tests to get the best power we can with the area we have to work with. Last edited by Rich22; May 11th, 2012 at 01:31 PM. |

Hi Rich, not sure I understand the mockup. Is that a really large oval outlet or will there be a smaller aperture like the stock/termi cans?

That is 1 of the outlet ideas, an oval slash cut.

Is this the one they showed in UK mag Superbike - May issue?? With a suggestion it might be made of inconel?? That looked like one BIG oval man!!!

Keep the options coming, I'm sure you'll get plenty of feedback. I quite like the look of the round ports on the Termi's. Just thinking aloud, could you not have two cylindrical cans each with a curved and slash cut stub pipe to the rear of the can. Might not work out with the required plumbing. I saw that the stock cans were metered at 100dB, which makes them too loud for quiet days and evenings at Donnington. |

This is the superbike mag outlet in Inconel but pushed out to a rounder style, we will try the full oval as well. More of our ideas as we test them. |

Just curious, in the interest of saving weight, does it make any sense to port it out of only one side (dual/single?) and make a cover like the Taylormade pipes for the other side?

Yeah I think it would awesome with flush panels (ie canisters covered/CF?) and a dual or single port on one side.

I actually personally like the mock up! Gives it more of an aggressive look! Keep them coming though!

The problem with a single silencer arrangement is noise, 1 silencer can not baffle it down enough and then you run into the problems the Aprilia Mille had of being very loud. Not saying we dont want it loud but we need the option to baffle it down. We are actually looking at a full length carbon cover plate both sides if we have the room to do it. Good suggestions keep them coming. |

Cads/tooling on way, production in around 2 months. Oval slash cut splayed away from rear tyre each side. ![]() |

At this stage its a case of not giving out to much info for fear of being ripped off. A lot of that going on at the moment. Last edited by Rich22; May 31st, 2012 at 11:21 AM. |

We have tested the basic design of the silencers, figures are good. It's the tooling that takes the time as it has to be mm perfect at such a high cost.
