I got a 35.00 "fix it" ticket on my Monster. Riding down the road, local police cruiser pulled along side for a few seconds, dropped back then lit me up. Fortunately, I was abiding by the speed limit!

He said, law requires reflectors affixed front and rear and that he knew they were there when I bought the bike. I think he was expecting a young kid under the helmet but wrote the ticket, nonetheless.

I had to buy the reflectors, put them back on the bike, make an appointment with the police department for them to inspect the bike and sign the ticket and then had to pay 35.00.

Took the reflectors off when I got back home. Two nights later I ran into a sobriety check point on the newly re-de-reflectorized Monster and that same effing officer was there and recognized me. That SOB pulled me out of line and gave me another ticket for riding a non-street legal/modified motorcycle on public streets - COST: 250.00.

And, I took the reflectors off again. But, I don't go through that town anymore! Watch out you other NORCAL riders - this was in Danville.

Haha, my ride home when the bike was new from the dealer, which is only about 7 miles away, is when my left reflector fell off. I remember hearing it and feeling the thump of it going under the bike on the freeway.

When I got home I figured out it was a reflector and I immediately pulled off the double sided tape for it and the right reflector w/ tape and stuck them in a bag.

They are around here somewhere. If anybody wants to buy one reflector and two double sided pieces of foam tape I will gladly sell them to you.

So i did and went to the police station they signed it off and I didnt have to pay anything but if I would of missed the date or not correct the so called problem it's was going to be $250. Tape was removed when I got back home.
