drain bolt for collant ?

Well I had a bolt vibrate loose on my exhaust mount . Figured while I'm replacing bolt I should wrap header and fill rad with engine ice . I pulled the small Allen bolt in the lower rad and the oil cooler to get the heat shield off front header. I got around 2/3 gal of coolant drained . I think there is still more in there but can't find low point to drain it . Someone please help I NEED TO RIDE !

If i recall, it's .61 gallons of coolant. Don't forget your reservoir which holds a couple hundred ccs.

The best way is to get one of these LINK : Amazon.com: UView 550000 Airlift Cooling System Leak Checker and Airlock Purge Tool Kit: Automotive

I've been using for a number of years. Not having the vacuum thing, you can flush with plain water to get most of the rest of the coolant out. As I recall engine ice is ok with water, but doesn't like antifreeze.

Thanx, I flushed with distilled water then tipped bike to get more out of the lower rad. Should be good now .
