FYI I would disagree with what tool is intended to be used here. See this thread. Bar End Torque Bit Size... I too used a 12pt triple square socket bit, size 14mm to remove this. I'm glad a 12mm allen fits too. Last guy in that thread, at the time of my read, agrees with you allen guys ![]() Whats interesting is that some of you agree its a 6 point socket on the bar end. While that might be true, on my bike its a 12 point socket. So interestingly, it may be allen for some of you and 12pt triple square for others. If you disagree, please post pictures of your bar end and corresponding tool |

I got the 12 point bar end and removed it with a 6 point no problem.Took it out cos I was fitting one of those Rizoma lever protectors.

After reading over the post by CoolJam I went out and looked at these items again. It appears as if EITHER tool would work! What you see here are pics of : -bar end -end of 12mm allen socket tool -fit of them together (it is tight fit, not crooked as it appears in pic -metric 12mm on side of allen socket I suppose that we both are correct although I have no idea how many points the torx bit has on it since I do not have one that large. ![]() Hope this helps someone? Ps. If you ever have issues getting your attachment to upload, just go in and add it a second time, hit upload and it pops right in. No waiting for this kid! |
