Whats your insurance coverage and cost?

I am currently with McGraw/Pacific specialties, and they will not give me full coverage until I am 30Y.O. I plan to switch to another insurance provider when I purchase my 1199 because I need full coverage to finance.

Agent/Carrier: McGraw/ Pacific Speciality
Coverage: Liability Only
Cost: $160/year
Motorcycle: 2006 Honda CBR600RR
Driving Record: 0 Pts
Licenesed: 6 years
Age: 27

Wow that's better than what all the major insurance agency where offering me. Am 20 and through progressive geico and etc. I got quoted around $400 monthly for a 848evo when i was planning on buying one. In then end i didn't get it because it was ridiculous for me to pay double my bike payments for insurance(monthly bike payments was going to be $210). Am sure its because of my age but i also got a feeling that the price has got to deal with all the squids out here in Florida riding without helmets. In the end i did find an insurance company that offered a good price for full overage Direct Auto Insurance they offered me $150 a month. Good luck and be sure to let me know what you ended up going with.

I am 43 and have been licensed for 15 years. I have a 2010 KTM RC8R Red Bull Edition that I pay $558 and a BMW R1200R that I pay $434. I have full coverage on both bikes with $300k for bodily injury and uninsured motorist. I upgraded the accessory coverage on the KTM by $4,600 to cover the Akropovic race exhaust. I'm with Geico and live in MD.

I am 39yo and just got a quote from state farm for $660. for full coverage. You need to have your car insured through them though. They will not insure just a bike.

I use State Farm to insure both my bikes, 2008 1098 base and 2009 R1. Both bikes full coverage, about $90/month each. I'm 47, riding 4 years, no tickets, no claims.

I don't have any autos insured through them....

I'm with State Farm, I pay $70 a month for my 2011 1198SP for full coverage. Don't think the 1199 will cost much more if any, they categorize bikes by engine displacement so cost of insurance should be relatively close to what I pay for the 1198.

All of you current/former US Military fellas should check into USAA. Even if you weren't in the military and your parent(s) were you should still qualify. I only pay around $25 a month for full coverage on my 2007 R1. Excellent company, excellent customer service and they have great banking options as well. I haven't asked for a quote for an 1199 yet, but as soon as I do I'll post up.

Jonah - struggling to get below £750. Bennetts and MCE around a grand...

32, full license, no convictions, 10years NCB. Bike would be garaged. Twice the price of old R1. Not impressed still guess it won't matter once on the road!
