Important note:

Unplug the red device when you don't use your bike. I drains the battery even in standby.

Where is it installed? In the front fairing at the black square plastic recess under windscreen, or under the left side fairing?

I guess I should go check mine. It's been plugged in for a week and I have not ridden the bike.

Yes do unplug it unless your using a battery tender. The dongles consumption is 40 - 50mA even with the bike in the off position.

At that rate your battery will be dead within a week.

There are two modules. The black one under your windshield (gps). And the red one under your passenger seat. (watch my photos). You have to disconnect the red one under the seat.

Thanks for putting the pics and stuff up. Had mine installed on Thursday, and downloaded the software but hadn't figured out how to switch it on yet ;-)

Confirmed.

After a week without use, battery is completely dead. Thanks for the info.

Mine too.

Had my GPS installed last week.
Battery was at 2v when I tried to start it this morning.
