Jerking and engine shut down

Hi,

I was riding my 1199 ABS,the first few hundred metres was ok until the first stop at the traffic light the engine suddenly shut down by it self.before that happen, the engine was jerking n a loud bang came out from the exhaust.i was able to restart the engine but this time i have to aplly more throttle just to get the bike move coz it has tendency to shut down again.the same thing happen afterthat where the bike started jerking and couple of unusual loud bang from the exhaust.the bike is still new and i have about 320 kms on odometer.i was not riding the bike for 3 days.the eng. temp was showing 89 deg cels when this thing happen to me.need advise n recommendation.thanks.

take it back to the dealer, too many potential things could be wrong, it's under warranty

Yeah, what Zvez said. Don't take any chances and haven't heard anyone on here have that problem.

sounds like a fouled spark plug or dead/faulty coil. more likely to be a fouled plug.

Someone needs to be tracking these for when we are out of warranty!

Few days ago,my dealer came to picked up the bike.they open the bike n found the problem.i was shocked when they told me that the engine was leaking and the engine oil has entered the exhaust system.the bike is still new,only had 330 kms on the odometer and they are contacting ducati italy asking how to deal with this problem.i still have to wait for the outcome.hopefully they gonna sent a new bike for me.haha.i wish.hopefully it will not take a long time for them to fix it.missing her(1199) already.
