Hello all! My name is Oscar and am currently looking at a 1199 base. Been doing a lil research before buying. This seems to be a very informative site. Thanks! Now if I can sneek in a quick question....lol Was looking at a Hayden replica fairing set from adjustable levers. Anyone have expirence with these? Are they good or crap? Thanks again! |

Are these Chinese replica fairings.....do you have a link? I bought a set from eBay seller Delkevic for my 1198 and they were quite good.....I'd say 85% the quality of the oem set.....fitment has gotten allot better from the Chinese sets, they're not perfect but close. I'm curious as to how you found these, I'm always looking and know they are close to being shipped to USA sellers via eBay but haven't seen them yet.....good find, would love to see a link. Cheers |

Yea, it's only a matter of time before the Wal Mart production children over in China build some 1199 fairings. I would actually consider some if the price is right.. |

Hi Oscar, I had some for my 1198sp from China and they were crap! Got very brittle and they snapped and crumbled to bits especially arround the pipes in the lower fairing where they were exposed to exhaust heat Unless they are using different compound for their plastic, I would steer clear! Oh and the rear cowl just would not fit. Visiting South Beach at Xmas from the UK you anywhere close by? Last edited by daverogers2001; September 17th, 2012 at 04:34 AM. |
