Sad to see Spies leave, I thought he had potential to get in the mix.

Want to see good racing, standardize the electronics in GP, or just watch WSBK.
I still think Spies has potential to mix it up with the top guys, though glad he's leaving Yamaha and the role of "test biotch". He's had some bad luck, a couple of riding mistakes, a mystery illness and a few issues with the negligent mechanics that borders on sabotage - it's tough being the second string in Yamaha's eyes.

Sad to say, but yes I enjoy the WSBK weekends better than MotoGP. MotoGP has been chasing the WSBK dream for 10 years now.

Define "well"? Win a dry race or compete for podiums....... I don't think so. Not without major changes anyway. But if you mean compete consistently for 4 - 6th place finishes, sure.

Wsbk has become more enjoyable to watch, the races are always edge of your seat! Always a mix of manufacturers at the front whereas mgp Yamaha or Honda dominate the race. Would love to see Rossi go to wsbk as the media had suggested and compete against his old foe biaggi before he retires!

I think Ducati didn't mind keeping Rossi because he sold more than enough 46 merchandise to make up what they were paying him. However the longer he isn't relevant (as in running in the top 3-4) racers - then the sooner his sponsors will start questioning whether they are getting his money's worth. Sponsors believe it or not would prefer that you run up front and are on television more than a podium finish (both are nice, but if you're running in front for an hour and then crash out is better than running out of the television and race viewership and somehow sneak onto the podium in 3rd.

Anyhow, neither here nor there - I think JL is faster than VR right now so we'll find out next year if VR is going to be JL's #2 or not. . . . Personally I think VR dug his own grave by bad mouthing his bike but it was almost in his better interest to keep things kind of vague in terms of whether it was him or the bike. Now, he's going to be on the same bike as the potential champion. There won't be any excuses. ..
